Is it such a rare case in Britain, that cars were broken off an dismantled for parts?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9805963/creamfields-cars-stripped-of-wheels/

In Germany it's quite common. Actually BMW-navis and -airbags are mostly popular.

Three weeks ago it happened even here in my peaceful village.
But something was very strange: I had my Vectra parked on the street, with open doors and even open windows (due the heat, the doggy smell and the slightly mould smell, caused by a leak under the windscreen)
- and noone touched it!?!

The story about the Porsches, smeared by paint in Notting Hill, is quite odd - isn't it an area, where masses of higg priced cars are standing around everywhere?

Normally envy-caused vandalism is usual at poor, deprived locations.
We have it in Germany sometimes, too, but I never heard, that such happens in rich people's quarters.

By the way: I will avoid to travel with my
K 70 into the "Zone", the former DDR
- because of that new sticker on it:
