[Done] The Thrill of It All! (1963)
Published 27/07/2009 @ 03:23:15, By tv boy
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057581/

(Corrected title to show it ends in an exclamation point.)

A funny (but unfortunately sexist) Doris Day/James Garner film that takes on the advertising business and middle class life in general. Game show fans will note Arlene Francis of "What's My Line?" has a big role in this movie. I was surprised at how many cars are in this film.

Rolls Royce (Silver Cloud?), four stars (the climax to the film actually takes place inside this car)

There's one more car I wanted to add from the big traffic jam scene at the end. It's a black Corvair, roughly 1960-61 or so. I couldn't get as good a shot of it as I could of some of the others, but it's a two star vehicle because Edward Andrews' character speaks briefly to the driver and she speaks back.

The blue Cadillac convertible is a 1961, not a 1962.
(Notice the chrome border on top of the fins and rounded lower taillamp housings)

The "1963? Cadillac limo" is either a 1960 or a 1961 (a bit too dark to tell).

The 1961 has an addition set of lower fins while the 1960 just has the single set of upper fins.

Wish I could see more of that beautiful-looking Imperial limo.
It is a 1957 or 1958.
(The 1957 limo used a "year-ahead" grille not seen until 1958 on the other Imperials)
