Which BMW in Texasville (Last Picture Show sequel)

What BMW is featured prominently in Texasville, the 1990 sequel to The Last Picture Show (1971). Both movies are directed by Peter Bogdanovich, & both star Jeff Bridges, Cybill Shepherd, Annie Potts, Timothy Bottoms, Cloris Leachman, Randy Quaid, & Eileen Brennan.

In the movie Texasville (set in 1984), Annie Potts drives a white 1984 BMW 745i E23 (seen in 14 scenes). Cybill Shepherd drives a big Mercedes. The film also includes a VW Beetle convertible. This movie should be added to IMCDb, & the BMW & Benz should have at least 4 stars each.

Thanks, I added the BMW & VW. But to add the Mercedes I would have to know the model or at least the W-code.

The Actors & Autos of the movie Texasville:

In several scenes, Annie Potts as Karla Jackson drives magnificent white 1984 BMW 745i E23 with dark blue leather. Later, she sits in passenger seat while Jeff Bridges as Duane Jackson sits behind her in conversation. Later still, she drives while Eileen Brennan as Genevieve, Timothy Bottoms as Sonny Crawford, & Cloris Leachman as Ruth Popper are passengers. 4 or 5 stars

In several scenes, Cybill Shepherd as Jacy Farrow drives a silver Mercedes with alloy wheels & black & grey velour interior. Probably early ‘80s S-Klass W116. Later Jeff Bridges as Duane Jackson drives it while Cybill Shepherd as Jacy Farrow is passenger. 4 or 5 stars

In several scenes, the camera lingers on the BMW & Mercedes sitting side by side outside the Dairy Queen & at community events (rodeo & centennial pageant).

In 1 scene, Cloris Leachman as Ruth Popper drives light blue or aqua VW Beetle convertible with white top lowered. Eileen Brennan as Genevieve is passenger. Later Jeff Bridges as Duane Jackson drives it while Cybill Shepherd as Jacy Farrow & William McNamara as Dickie Jackson are passengers. 3 stars

William McNamara as Dickie Jackson drives red Porsche 911 SC Targa in 2 short scenes. 3 stars

In several scenes, Jeff Bridges as Duane Jackson drives a black & white Ford F150 (probably early ‘80s) with a small back seat. 4 or 5 stars

Timothy Bottoms as Sonny Crawford crashes a primer-grey Chevy pickup in 1 scene, almost killing 2 little girls at a lemonade stand. 2 stars

Randy Quaid as Lester Marlow rides an office chair, unknown marque. 0 stars

Thanks, I added the vehicles.
If you wish you can add these info to each vehicle page.
About star-rating, the cars used a lot in that series will get 4 stars at most. 5 stars for cars in series is for Kitt (knight rider) or General Lee (dukes of hazard); i.e. series based on the car.

Texasville is not a TV series. It is a 2-hour movie.

Sorry, I do not know why I thought to a series (maybe because of "smallville"? )
Anyway, the idea is the same: 5 stars is for cars on which the movie or story is based, or that become internationally famous.
