I tested the Volvo C30

Yesterday my uncle (who is working in a Volvo dealer, previously he worked for Saab) let me & my father drive a C30

http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/46032/P1010114.jpg

It is the 2.0 turbodiesel, with sport option. ( edit : 136 hp, 6-speed manual gearbox )
The acceleration is really great, too great: you have to change the gear too quickly  I think that I would prefer the gasoline version, even the 1.6 (which still has sensible performances), as I do not need a so fast car anyway.
The engine seems a little noisy when you turn it on, but when driving it is not very noticing. The sound insulation is good, as is the suspension. As it was the sport version it was not too soft, but still comfortable enough.
And I really like the style of that car

Nice!!! That's the same color combination I like. I haven't tried to go test drive one. Right now I couldn't afford one so I don't want to fall in love with it.

It looks simply hideous in my opinion, especially the back. I hate how Volvo puts those ugly "shoulders" on all of their cars :yuck:

You were stylin' and profilin' ...

I like it, the style, wheels, color combo ... White with (Dark gray, no?)

Anyway, don’t you just love the multi layer Clearcoat finish; the finish is so reflective you could brush your teeth and comb your hair in it. Which is why I love the finish of the paint on my truck.

I dont tend to like "white" on cars, i see a it a bit..., i dont know how to say it in english, to me it is as if the car was not painted, its not nice, yet nowadays it seems to be a fashion to have the car all white, but, in this case, with that little part painted in brown it is real nice, it makes a good mix, ive always loved two tone paint on cars, hence why i love Eddie Bauers etc.

I don't like white on cars much, shows too much dirt, rust, and general imperfections. That's one of the many reasons I love black. But I agree, two tone-cars rule! :grinking:
Unfortunately, the only new car that still has two-tone colors is the Lincoln Town Car as far as I know of. Yesterday I saw a two-tone Caprice that you simply would have loved, CCF. It was silver and white, which while neither of those colors I generally like, they did look pretty good together, especially on that car.

Really? yeah indeed it would have been nice i have no doubt, as i said, and you seem to agree with me, i wouldnt have liked the Volvo in case it would have been all white, but being a two tone it makes it much more interesting, for example, and no wish on offending you at all Neptune  i would never buy a car like his Expedition, definetly too much white on it, if at least the low part had a different color i would like it more, but not it all in white, on the other hand i dont mind it when the entire car is all black, i just love black on cars, black make cars much more elegant and luxurious even when they are not.

No offense taken ... :clindoeil: Its just a colur preference. The truck being All-White (or All of any color) is a Limited Edition trademark, that and having Blacked-Out headlamps. It’s kind of like a statement: "Here I am, just so you know, I’m a Limited"

Also I like All-Black too, it looks good on just about anything.

The dust is much more visible on a black car, it is not so easy to keep it clean.

Yes indeed i was going to say so, on a white car the "small" dust from the road is not visible whereas on a black car it is.

The one I looked at here had the T5 engine with about 225 HP. The thing is a rocket - probably a little more power than is actually needed but its certainly fun.
