All right, here it is! Our 1988 Toyota Camry LE. She's not the newest or the fastest, but she's our Camry and I love her
Here is a basic video where I show the exterior and also get in and try to rev the engine a little for effect
http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2vke2w4&s=3
Here is me trying to do some crazy stunts in a parking lot, athough I had to limit it because my father was watching and it is technically his car http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2jfkunq&s=3
Also I wanted to let you guys know that this past Friday I passed my driver's training and I got my license so I can now drive for real!

Congratulations! It´s a good thing to have a driving license and be allowed to drive by yourself! Thus your next video includes a car chase?!
(just kidding!)

Nice Camry for 20 years old. My dad has a 1989 Toyota Pickup with over 300,000 on it and it's all beat up. Also congratulations on getting your license! Now you say your car is the 1987 Honda Accord?

Yes, the Accord is considered "mine", though my mother officially owns it and my father is the only one who drives it . I cannot drive it unfortunately since it is a manual, and a very touchy one at that. I have driven it a couple times, but only up and down our empty residential street. I failed miserably every time I can't even count how many times I stalled that thing.
So anyways, I am forced to drive the Camry since it is our only automatic (out of six believe it or not ) other than my mom's Corolla, but I try to shy away from that piece of junk I do not want to be seen in that car
Also, I have a question about "owning" cars, and when I say "owning" I mean officially owning, as in your name is on the title and your birthday is on the lisence plate. How old must you be? I know of quite a few teenagers under 18 (including yourself MBSL65fan) that "own" their own car. But do they "offcially" own it, or do their parents just own it and let them have it? I assume there is an age requirement, but is it 16 or 18 or something else? (I am speaking of US rules only by the way)

I am 16 years old and yes, my Acura is in my name. You can do that in California, but I don't know about where you live (the law may be different). If a teen has a car in his/her name the insurance is going to be very expensive. Also, if the teen gets into an accident, I think they could be fully responsible if it's a serious accident (I'm not quite sure actually ). The reason why my car is in my name is because I purchased the car from my grandmother. I'm making payments right now and may get a summer job to pay for insurance. In order to get a car in your name you will need a driver's license I believe. Now what do you mean by birth date on the license plate?

Well, I guess I should have said birth month to be more accurate. Maybe it's jsut my state that does this.
Note that the sticker in the bottom right corner says "JUL" (July)
That is the birth month of the owner of the vehicle, it just so happens. I don't know why, but this is how it works.
Hmmm... it appears your state has it too
Go check yours, I bet it has your month

Actually taxiguy, the month on that California plate that you posted is the month the car was purchased. I was born in October, but my license plate has February on it, because the last owner bought the car in February. Another thing, I do not think you need to renew a license plate every time that car is sold to someone else, unless if the last owner had a vanity plate, or if it was sold by a dealer. By the way, it looks like the car that has that license plate was possibly purchased in January 2004 or very late December 2003.

Very interseting. That is not how it works here. You usually get a new plate every few years, and if the car exchanges owners you definitely do. Also as I said, here the month refers to the date of birth of the owner. I am sure of this because the five cars my dad owns say June (his birth month) and the two cars my mom owns (her '72 Beetle and my Honda) say October, which is her birth month. Plus my grandma's Taurus say March, her birth month. And my other grandma's Crown Victoria says May, which is her birth month. That is enough proof for me.
Intersting how they don't do it that way in California.
I wonder how some of the other states do it?

I don´t know if anybody else had the opportunity to join "GM The Drive" in Las Vegas. It was an event back in 2006, located not far away from the Sahara Hotel Casino. The rules: You need a valid driver´s license, make a breath test, sign a contract that you don´t wanna sue GM if you should fall off the Hummer and pay lousy 10 $. Then select 2 vehicles. There was an Off-Road and a Performance Track. Available vehicles included Hummer H2, Escalade, Corvette C6, CTS-V, GTO etc. I grabbed life by the horns (no, there was no Dodge ) and selected Hummer H2 SUT and Corvette C6.
And here is a short video I made: GM The Drive

Wow! Taxiguy, you are a few months younger than me and you have actually driven! and in an '88 Camry! there's more chance of me waking up ampitated than to ever drive my folk's cars. Some of my older friends have cars and they give some of my younger pals oppertunities for quick spins, but they are either nineties Mazdas or brand new Pugeots. The only car I ever want to drive is a classic. Bit crazy this, but sometimes I wish my school and town was set in the US in the late seventies, where the kids could basicly only afford ten or twenty year-old cars such as cool late fifties cruisers.

I think that it probably is made of wood, most all houses are. It's just that they have a brick/stone/siding facade that covers up the structural wood

My Acura was in the garage. Our house though is made mostly of concrete, with some brick and wood. It's just the front where most of the wood is. The house was built in 1974.

So today I got bored and made this short video (with music) of our white Camry. It was actually quite fun putting it together, maybe I'll end up being an editor some day, who knows
Anyhow, enjoy! (Note: turn the sound up for maximum enjoyment )

Tomorrow when I visit my grandmother's house I will make a similar video with her 1992 Crown Victoria, except it will be longer, louder, and better!
