can anyone ID this sportscar?

Hello, I'm getting images together for "The Andy Griffith Show" and was wondering about this car, I have no idea what it is. It appears in episode 6.30, the final episode of the 1965-66 season, and is driven by a guest character who has a major role in that one episode. Thanks.
