(Let's tread this topic as special board to discussion about model origins).
What about Volskwagen Citi Golf?
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=405168
Shouldn't be South African origin? Actually production & engineering continued in ZA long time after the genuine Golf I's end in Wolfsburg and German factories in 1983.

The original model was German, when it is reused and modified when do the origin change?
Here I guess that except the styling there isn't much left from the original

The Volkswagen South Africa plant assembled genuine Golf I in 1978-1983 period.
Golf II arrived to ZA as 1984 model and Citi Golf as 1985.
In 1988 the factory have been bought complete Golf I's tooling from Germany.
The face lifts and interior modifications weren't lonely changes comapring to genuine Golf I.
First one was the fuel tank expanded from 37 to 49 litres.
The basic petrol 1349 cc. engine introduced 1998 (later boosted to 1423) cc.) wasn't available for any other Volkswagen.
Since 2004 Citi Golf had Skoda Fabia's dashboard.
The power steering was available on demand.
etc. etc.

Many of the vehicles listed under China arguably fall under disputed model origins as well:
Should this be Isuzu-based JMC Landwind be listed with a Japanese model origin?
http://imcdb.org/vehicle_101651-JMC-Landwind-2001.html
Or these ones:
http://imcdb.org/vehicle_307280-Songhuajiang-HFJ-6350.html
http://imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Changfeng_model-Pajero.html
If no one objects, I will switch their origins to Japan.

Those made under license should indeed be listed with origin = Japan.

in the case of the JMC Landwind, it is not license built but the style was stolen from Isuzu.

If it is just a stolen style, origin = china, as it is just a visual similarity

This question (at least) for Neon.
According this (shouted) identification http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_408689-Innocenti-Lambretta-125-C-1950.html
We have 6 pages of Lambretta as make
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Lambretta&model=
and 2 as a model of Innocenti
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Innocenti&model=Lambretta&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=- on
Do we should change all Lambrettas into Innocenti?

And if such change is needed, no need to do it one by one

I'm preparing for cleaning/precising infos about our Toyota Tundra's samples.
And I think both generations should have United States model origin.

Even if it is made for US market, was it a project from Toyota USA, or still from main Japanese Toyota corporation?

Both generations were/are made/make in US plants, for North American market just. Similar way to US-origin Toyota Sienna.
We should leave first gen. with "origin: Japan" and "made in: US" because I didn't find proofs for American engineering. However I'm searching...
The second gen. was designed in United States with no doubt.
"Product planning [about 2007 Tundra] began at TMS headquarters in Southern California. All engineering development was directed by the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Styling, inside and out, was the work of Toyota's Calty Research and Design Centers in Newport Beach, California and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Finally, the new Tundra will be built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Princeton, Indiana and Toyota's new truck plant in San Antonio, Texas".

OK, so I change origin for all 2007+ ?
Or I wait that you finish to clean then in case some do not have their year set yet?

I also wanted to note here that all 2nd generation Geo/Chevrolet Metros (1995+) should be listed as Origin Canada. While they did still use the Suzuki Engines the chassis and body etc were completely designed bu CAMI for the North American Market, and didn't share anything with the older Suzuki-based models. And were not sold outside of North America.

Not a problem, I'll change it when 'cleaning'.

I mean I can change the origin of all in one time (no need that you change that one by one), but just ask if I should do that now or wait that you eventually fix years so the "2007+" filter applies correctly.
