A very nice unrestored example of 1956 Chevrolet One-Fifty 2-Door Sedan

The "European" plate is a pure phantasy-fake, based on a German export plate.
The car is not re-imported from here, as AFAIK this MY of the Hilux was never sold here.

The plate of the Goggomobil may be authentic.

The red 1971 Karmann Ghia, is it European spec?

That's what I like about it. It's not a Bel Air or hot-Rodded to death, like most lesser level Chevys.


I think the KG was US spec. I talked to the owner for a while, the previous owner was an older lady who wanted her car a certain way. He told me the paint was done about 15 years ago and is metalflake. I didn't ask about the bumpers. The interior was immaculate. He usually is a Beetle man, but this one was available and he's owned it for about 7 years now. Maybe it was listed the wrong year.

I wish I had gone down the steps to see the Microcars closer, but I assumed they would still be there at the end of the afternoon.

Some pics of the car show that was in Terrebonne in september . i really wish i did better but sun was really strong ( kind of ironic , no sun might mean no show and too much sun means some bad pics .. ) and i'm missing about 60 cars ( including a 1960 Panhard PL 17 ) due to a battery failure that left me with over 100 pics less than my last year's visit

The VW Caddy has the front bumper of a facelifted Jetta II (maybe even a Vento?). The grille with the four round headlights -at least the original version- was a KAMEI-extra, as the plastic bar on the bonnet's edge, some popular aftersales market extras in the 90ies.

And it's definitely a Caddy and no custom as it has an orange repeater.

I was so focused on the badge on the grille that everything else on the truck vanished from my mind
