Other motor vehicle years pre-1920 and now

Was it as common for certain motor vehicles like semi-trailer trucks, school buses, and motorcycles to come out before the actual calendar year back in the fall of 1916 as 1917 models compared to 2016 as 2017 models?

Once again, you aren’t listening. No such thing as a model year back then.

I'd tend to disagree, as the all-new redesigned new Model T was released in the summer of 1916 and is generally considered a 1917.

I'd tend to disagree, as the all-new redesigned new Model T was released in the summer of 1916 and is generally considered a 1917.

From Wikipedia:
Collectors today sometimes classify Model Ts by build years and refer to these as "model years," thus labeling the first Model Ts as 1909 models. This is a retroactive classification scheme; the concept of model years as understood today did not exist at the time. The nominal model designation was "Model T," although design revisions did occur during the car's two decades of production.

Brochure printed at the time says 1916-1917, but this is not really indicative that Ford used model years at the time.

How was I not listening?

You asked about pre-1920 model years in your previous thread:

and it seems clear that you didn't bother to take my reply into account when creating this one.
