I see this custom '50s Ford F-Series somewhat regularly on my commute home from work:
For our vintage motorhome fans, 1979-1980 Dodge Sportsman [B-Series] with Lazy Daze body, found in an office park near Dulles airport:
New FedEx truck. It has what looks like an Isuzu grille, but does anyone know who makes these? It was at the diesel pump. (Bonus: modified Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution with APEXKLR license plate)
No picture, but early Friday morning I saw a Local Motors Rally Fighter on H Street NW in Washington, DC, right about at http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=52302

And now, some pictures I took from a hillside overlooking a salvage yard in Charlottesville a couple weeks ago:

Some zoomed in highlights:
1960 Pontiac sedan, and a pair of Datsun Zs
Studebaker hardtop, circa-1953
1968 Mercury Monterey sedan
A pair of Chevrolet Malibus thoroughly tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The IIHS's main crash testing facility is just north of Charlottesville in Ruckersville.

The "1957 Ford wagon with Canadian tags" is a Canadian-market 1957 Meteor.

Thanks, I figured it was some Canadian market model. I've found other pics of the same wagon at other shows on the East Coast.

It's an Isuzu Reach, built in cooperation with Utilimaster apparently?
Looks like there are dealers marketing specifically to Fedex: http://www.fedexreach.com/

Pontiac Fiero:
(with old-timer plate)
And a forklift, with licence plate (at the top), on the street, to show that here they can be considered as vehicles for imcdb
(I remember it was a debate some time ago)

I'm not the only RHD-driver in my company.
No, the owner is not handicapped, although he is parking there. Some slightly asshole-ish colleagues are parking on the (mandatory) handicapped parking lots, because we have more of them than handicapped employees, who have a right for them. The other, regular hired parking spaces are scarce and you have to wait for them for many months.
Although I'm working from home the most time since 5 years, I kept my parking lot continouusly since 1997. It's just 10 € per month and I sublease it to annother colleague.

Whatever this is (it was labled a Chevy Electric vehicle):

It's an "Extra Terrestrial Vehicle" made by Mike Vetter from The Car Factory.
According to the website:
"Some of the cars we have used in the past to create the ETV are Chevy Cobalt, Chevy Cobalt SS, Chevy Aveo, Toyota Echo, Honda Insight, Toyota MR2, Electric drivetrain, Porsche Boxster."
One was listed on eBay some years ago with a price of $86,000...

From the spare parts market in Recklinghausen and around from today.
This is a special coachwork for ice cream vans from Italy, the owner told me:
Was this a Camper originally, or a special edition of a luxoury bus? I only could see a small board in one edge and some very 80ies-styled velour-seats, the rest of the van (which obviously isn't used since longer time) was cluttered up with garbage-bags, planks and other junk.
On the market for sale (I haven't asked fpr the price, as I don't know anyone, who could be interested)
Now something for our COMECON-vehicles experts. I needed more than one view to recognize the differences. My first thought was "Hmm, why has it tinted windows? There was never any DDR-car with them." Then "And such a very VW T2/T3-looking sunroof, this isn't DDR-style either ?!", while my plate-fellow, who joined me, said "Aren't the taillights from the Ford Transit MkI?"
Later I notived the Chevrolet-sign on the aircondition and that the tachometer goes up to 220 km/h.
