2001 Mustang Cobra (not that one, but it looked like that). The dealership was having a big 'we have too much stuff' sale today, so I thought I'd see if there was anything interesting. There was! It was blocked in, but I got to start it up and rev it a little, whee! At 15 thousand$, I probably could buy it, but it would be a very bad idea.
Also there was a Jaguar XJR (X300 or X305. Nine thousand and something$), but I didn't get to start that one. It smelled funny inside and I had no headroom.

Well known, that joke. It's based on a cartoon:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_(Comic)

It's not in the movie http://imcdb.org/movie_100912-Werner-Beinhart!.html

Few finds from this morning:

1986 Chrysler LeBaron 2200cc Turbo 143hp, for sale for 700 €

Chevrolet Blazer, with a recent plate

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/6195/dscn2421h.jpg

Opel GT, similar to the one found by 93_Montero recently, with an old-timer plate. It is the one I posted last year there: http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-3845-Few_pictures_of_an_old_cars_meeting.html (at the same place, actually)

Opel Rekord 1700 with a very old plate

So the plate is much older than the car?

The GT looks very good, like it would been restored very carefully (due the body-structure there are no orignal GT's left, except single ones from Arizona or other dester-areas).

The Rekord is quite rare, because it's a basic version, but if you look closer, it's junky. I think, it's plenty of horror underneath.
Anyways, it's nice, that such old cars have survived until today. Due the old plate perhaps in first hand.

When I mean "very old", it is from the 1st numbering scheme still active: 1951-1961. There are no older plates than that still in use.
I do not know from when the car is, though
This car is probably owned by old people indeed.
It is probably in a not-so-bad state despite some visible rust, else it would not pass the inspection. My father "lost" a 5-year-old Renault 5 because of that

The Blazer is a European specification model. They were even sold in Britain, in right hand drive, for a few years.

In Germany the €700 LeBaron would no doubt be handed in for the €2,500 scrappage payment.

That Lebaron is very similar to my 600, even has the Turbo engine!

The person who would scrap that car deserves to be scraped with it!

Yes, I am also wondering what that is in your picture G-mann.

Antp, nice pictures I'm surprised to see the Blazer even if they were sold in Britian (I didn't actually know that).

Chevrolet Suburban LS, with an unfortunate tag on the side and a recent license plate:

I hope that all these US cars are not too boring for US members, though they may find these as interesting as are the French ones in USA for us

It’s at least a 1995 model Suburban 1500-Series (Dash appears to be contoured)

The rear view of it shows it has the Weight Distributing Hidden Trailer Tow hitch (robust black bar, under the rear bumper) Inserted into the hitch is obviously the ball mount which the trailer coupler connects too. I can’t remember exactly what the factory hitch looked like for the Suburban, but it appears as though it does has the factory equipped Trailer Tow Package.

Someone has towed something with it at some point. I guess someone wrote something ugly and uncivilized on the side of it ?

Indeed, though that I could not really read the 2nd word

Note the foglamp under the bumper, mandatory for all cars in Belgium

(but unlike other European countries, here the turn indicators can be red and combined with other lights, so for that a US car does not have to get its taillights changed)

I wonder if the graffiti has something to do with it being a big American SUV in Belgium (do they share the same sentiments as the French?).

Thanks Chris! This really caught my eye while I was driving so I took a picture of it (shouldn't really fiddle around with a camera while on a motorway I know)
