I saw a brand new Buick Regal today, I wonder what it was doing in Finland?
Cold weather testing, perhaps? Wikipedia says that the Regal will be made in Canada starting in early 2011. (Currently, Regals for North American markets are made in Germany, while the Chinese version is of course made in China.) I'm just guessing, but perhaps the Canadian-made Regal will be different enough (because of locally-sourced parts) that it has to go through endurance testing like a new model.

It's possible that it was on its way to Lapland for testing, but it doesn't seem very likely. I think they could easily have found colder weather in Canada, and "secret" test cars are probably not painted in a easily notifiable colour like that.
I suspect that somebody who recently moved from the US or maybe China brought it with them, or maybe someone just found a Regal front (on eBay?) and bolted it onto their Insignia.

Saw a new 9-5 for the first time the other day. I quite liked the rear end design.
I also saw a Nissan Juke for the first time. Luckily I wasn't wearing glasses so the true horror of the front was denied me. Even without glasses the rear end shape was awfully misshapen for me.

Maybe a bit stupid question, but is there any car, named "Lucide" or so? It's a Japanese Minivan, something similar to the Nissan Serena. I cannot find anything in the database.
I saw such a car last Saturday, it had a British plate and was, due the plate-size for sure a Japanese import. Unfortunately I couldn't take my camera fast enough and I couldn't drive faster, because I had a trailer at my Omega.
I'm even not sure bout the brand, due the logo Toyota or Mazda, I think.

Toyota Estima Lucida

I do not know how one is distinct from a regular Estima though.

The Lucida was shorter and narrower, to fit into a lower tax band in Japan.

It sounds crazy to make a separate model for a small size difference... why not directly make it the right size?

Today I saw a RHD Saturn SW2 delivering mail. I nearly drove off the road trying to get a good look as I passed it by

Wikipedia says the second generation Saturn S-Series cars were sold in Japan, which explains why RHD versions were made.
