walter.I think that split the Mini entries (classic models) from MINI (the BMW ones) and have two separate brands would be a good idea.
Same would go with the new MG Chinese brand that has nothing to do with the MG that everybody knows.

antpI'm not sure that splitting makes when they are taken over by someone else is a good idea. Otherwise you would have to do the same for Rolls-Royce Jaguar, Bentley, Bugatti, etc.
After reflection I'd rather keep the two Mini together, and add a rule as suggested above to make it displaying differently depending on the era.
