Does anyone still play Grand Prix 2 game ? It was published by Geoff Crammond in 1996. I used to play it a lot when I had my old computer (Windows 95, 166MhZ). Now I have been using a 2,4GHz computer with a Windows XP system. I installed GP2 to my computer but it won't run. After searching the net for the answer it seems that the GP2 simply can't work in Win XP

GP 2 was originally designed in 1994 for DOS environment and it is very difficult if not impossible to get it work right. It's a pity because GP2 is maybe the best simulation game ever made.

Does anyone know where to get patches or instructions how to get the game work ?

Maybe you can do what I did to play Destruction Derby: install Virtual PC (freeware) on your PC and inside a virtual machine install a DOS or Windows 95.

I guess the easiest way is to take the old computer (which i still have) and get it running. But I have no space for two computers in my room

If you have two disc drives, you can install a second operating system and have a "dual boot" computer. One drive would boot dos or win 95 the other your current system.

The Virtual PC solution is much easier than dual-boot. For old games it works fine, as long as it does not require a 3D card. But if you need to play with a steering-wheel connected to the PC I am not sure that it would work.
