IGCD reaches 5000 cars

Just to announce that IGCD has now reached a landmark number of 5000 cars! Rinspeed and I have been working painstakingly on the site, so if there are any remaining IMCDB members who have yet to see IMCDB's new sister site, we would appreciate any more contributers and identifiers as we develop our community

That's cool. The car's data isn't updated very often though. Lots of people contribute, but nothing really gets changed. You need some more moderators.

The contributions are done only on the recognition of the cars. The problem, it is that often, there are several opinions for the same car or information given is whimsical. We cannot all validate! For the American cars, it is more difficult for us considering than there is no American moderator, with the result that we do not know the cars inevitably. The contributions on the images are unfortunately rare in this moment thus would like we more, knowing that we are only 2 with in poster on IGCD. We cannot obviously advance quickly to 2 (it takes more time to capture images of a game than images of a DVD). Then yes, it is sure, it is necessary other contributors for us and moderators but like anybody really does not appear on IGCD in the contribution of images or very regularly, I cannot really give the role of moderator to somebody. Thus I hope that that will change.

You can give admin rights to the few IMCDB admins that often post on IGCD, as they are reliable

In response to qwerty_86, we do regularly check the comments but it often depends on the contribution itself, and whether or not the identification is merely an estimation or for definite. In other words, there are often times when we need more confirmation, but do be assured we do read posted comments

I would say that it is generally much harder to gain image captures from a game than it is from a movie, particularly as you have to set it up yourself and then capture, although it is not quite as difficult on a PC for example.

I'm not complaining about how often a new game gets posted, it's that I feel the comments aren't checked. I can understand that you don't have time to monitor everything, but I didn't realize you only have two people working behind the scenes. Some of the people from here have the knowledge and are trustworthy and sometimes post over there like antp said.
