I saw it over the weekend and thought that it would have been better, maybe my expectations were too high. The Shelby Mustang scene was pretty cool, but I thought it would have played a bigger role in the movie based on the previews. My biggest gripe is that the CGI creatures (especially the deer and lions) did not look realistic at all.

i thought they looked realistic too, and i prefered the creatures to be CGI as they could add movements to them that made them mroe scary, by the way, when the woman explains how she scaped the virus she mentioned how they call these, in spanish its something like "shadow finders" how was it in english?

They were called "Dark Seekers", that name was given to them by Anna (Alice Braga)

I thought all the animals looked real ... the "Dark Seekers" were okay, the reason they were done in CGI is because the nature of which they were suppose to act. The Krippen Virus (KV) made the infected constantly hyperventilate. Real actors could not endure this without passing out. Also the producers want the Dark Seekers to have a greater range of motion and be able to open their jaws really wide, again not possible without CGI.

I highly recommend the book ... the book goes under the same name as the film: I Am Legend (Published 1954) by Richard Matheson. Richard Matheson was also on set during some of the filming of I Am Legend (2007) staring Will Smith.

I saw it a few hours ago and I am still thinking about it (it keeps playing over in my head)
I really liked it (I would certainly see it again if given a chance, and I will be getting the DVD when it comes out) but ...

I honestly think Will Smith did a excellent job playing Robert Neville (he captured Neville almost to a T) and if Will doesn’t get some sort of award for playing that part, I will be seriously pissed.

agree
i can't wait 'till the movie appears on DVD
about the expedition, is the second 4x4 in my top of movie cars(after the explorer from jurassic park  )
