I would like to make a requsest to the Canadians on the site, if you ever see any of the Canada-only Pontiacs such as the ones in this list, could you please take a picture for me?
-Tempest (especially this one, as it is quite rare)
-Wave
-Firefly
-Parisienne (pre-1982)
and also if you ever see a Canadian-only 1977-1985 Chevrolet Bel Air I would like a picture of that too, as it is also quite rare.
Thanks!

The L-body Tempest? I saw one today. I think the hardest ones on that list are the Parisienne and the Bel Air. Cars older then 1985 aren't common around here.
The Firefly might be hard too, if you don't want a picture from a junkyard (you want any specific generation?).
I'll try to remember to bring a camera next time I'm out.

I keep a camera in the car at all times in case I see a rare/interesting car, and it's also good for if you might happen to see houses get sucked up in a UFOs light beam too, you never know what you'll see when you're out of the house!
Anyway, are the Tempests that common? I would love to see a picture of one, especially if it's two-tone
I don't know why, but I really like that car, which is weird since I usually hate Corsicas a lot, and it's the same car with a different grille. Are the taillights differnt than on the Corsica too? I have never seen a picture of the back, so be sure to get one for me. The generation of Firefly I meant was the 1995-2001 based on the Metro but the older ones would be good too. Junkyard pics are okay I guess, but I'd prefer intact cars on still on the street. Thanks again, I'd get pics of American only cars for you in return but I'm afraid everything available here is available there too

In 1988 I've been a month for a school-exchange to Vancouver.
My host-family had a GMC-van with V8, which had the sticker "Made in Canada" on the back. They were proud Canadians, so the sticker was important for them
I don't know the model. It was a 8-seater from 1977, in white with light blue stripes, the interior was light blue, too.
The family also had a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. I think, it was Canadian made, too, but I'm not sure.

It's possible. Those cars were built at a total of five different plants, one of which was in Quebec, the rest in the US.

I would like to see a General Motors Beaumont that has Pontiac body sides and Chevrolet interior and dash. Pontiac appears nowhere on the car, but it is ofte n misidentified as "Pontiac Beaumont."

First, how the hell did it get stuck on top of the concrete divider like that?
And second, what the hell is it? I've never seen a VW truck like that in my life before.

I don't think they're very common, I just happened to see one that day. I don't really know, I've never paid them any attention. The tail lights are at least the same outside shape (probably), they might have a different light pattern though.
Anything else on here sound interesting to you?:

There's more US-but-not-Canadian cars then you'd think;
-They only started selling Mitsubishis here this decade (I think), so the only older models I see are Delicas people imported from Japan. The Evo X is the first Lancer Evo available here, we only got the boring FWD versions before. There's some truck they're making now that isn't sold here, I don't remember what it's called (Raider?). They probably have a few more models we don't get here that I haven't heard of.
-We did get the Dodge Stealth (rebadged Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT), but not the Dodge/Chrysler Conquest (rebadged Mitsubishi Starion). I'm not sure about the Plymouth Laser (Mitsubishi Eclipse), but I know we got the Eagle Talon (same). (and obviously not the Eclipse)
-You won't like this, Mercurys haven't been sold here since 1999, the Grand Marquis held on until last year, but "despite the Grand Marquis' Mercury badging, it's officially sold as a Ford in all Canadian sales literature".
-On top of that, Crown Victorias are no longer (since '99) sold to civilians, they can only be bought (new) as fleet orders (Police Interceptor or Special Service Vehicle) directly from Ford Motor Company of Canada.
-Do they still sell Daewoos (not rebadged as Chevys) in the US? They made a pretty pathetic attempt to get in the market here for a few years. I think I've seen less then 10, ever.
-The Toyota MR-S. Never got 'em. I thought they were just really really unpopular until I went to a concert in Washington and saw 3 in one day.
-Isuzu: not since 2003.
-Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles (semi trucks): I can't imagine why they're not sold here, but I've only ever seen 2. You must get them in the US, right?
There's probably more I don't know about/can't think of (Wikipedia doesn't have a list for this subject), but the thing is, if something is sold only in Canada, it's a pretty small market. If something is sold only in the US, that's a pretty huge market. It's easy for me to find pictures of any of the vehicles I just mentioned (except the Mitsubishi truck, and that's only because I can't remember what it's called), there's no reason for you to bother taking pictures for me. What I'd really like is some pictures of some Mexican market cars;
-the K-body Dodge Magnum: it looks like a squared-off Aries 2-door. I know it's difficult to imagine a box like the Aries being squared off, but they did it.
-'90s Dodge Ramcharger: From the front, it's a 2nd generation Ram ('94-'1). From the side, it looks like a 2 door Dakota. From the rear, it's got the Caravan's hatchback. Or so I'm told, I can only find one picture and it's from the side.
You're in... Michigan was it? Anyway, I know you're nowhere near Mexico and have probably never seen these either. The Ramchargers at least are supposed to be not that unusual farther south, I even knew a guy in Denver who said he saw them once in a while.

I didn't know that, they really look like Pontiacs. There's an early 70s Beaumont sedan I've seen around town, the front end looks a lot like a '70 GTO. I'll snap a picture of that too, if I see it (not too likely).
I might be able to find where it lives, but this town has a seemingly endless maze of '70s suburbs, and I only have a very vague idea of the general area it's in. Good excuse for me to ride my bike around and get some exercise though.

Hmmm... I had forgotten about the Chrysler Stratus/Intrepid/Neon cars. I remember a few years ago I saw a Chrysler Intrepid driving around and I tought, "this must be a joke". Then when I got home I researched it and found that they actually did sell them as Chryslers in Canada, and the car did have an Ontario plate come to think of it. I guess you can take a picture of those if you ever see any, I'd like that

They don't sell pure Daewoos anywhere in the world since 2003. That's when GM absorbed them creating "GM Daewoo" and ever since all Daewoo vehicles have been sold as rebadged versions (Chevy, Pontiac, Suzuki, Holden, etc...)
-Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles (semi trucks): I can't imagine why they're not sold here, but I've only ever seen 2. You must get them in the US, right?
Nope, none here (that I know of)
We do have quite a few Volvos though (semi-trucks)

Well, not in real life, but I found some pictures on flickr posted by a guy who lives in San Diego (very close to Mexico) He has a picture of a 1980s Chrysler Dart (a rebadged Dodge 600 k-car sedan), a 1980s Plymouth Volare K (rebadged Reliant K). I think you can view them without an account, but I'm not sure (or maybe you do have an account)

In Korea they are sold as GM Daewoo make.
And as just Daewoo in Việt Nam according to Wikipedia.

In Canada, we get facelifted versions of the previous generation Volkswagen Golf and Jetta. They are built in South America, but the facelifted design was done by FAW-Volkswagen in China, technically making them the first Chinese cars sold in North America.

They've always sold Dodges here, Chrysler just can't resist doing random stupid things every once in a while though.
The Chrysler Stratus and Neon weren't sold in the US? They're not on that list. The Stratus isn't uncommon, but I have no idea about the Neon, I only notice them if they're SRT-4s.
Intrepids are very common. Cheap, too. I'd buy one if... I had too much money? I can't think of a reason, but they're really good looking and I like them.
I'll put those on the list. I'm sort of looking forward to wandering around car hunting, but don't hold your breath; It's very very hot out and my AC doesn't work
I'd really like to avoid being outside as much as possible in this weather.

Yes, car hunting can be quite fun. It's hot where you are? Where are you located, Toronto? Becuase they have about the same weather as we do and it isn't too hot here... Or maybe your're out on the west coast? They've been getting some hot weather out there lately.

That is quite hot. I would be dying right now if I were you. A good way to beat the heat when you don't have A/C is to hang around at an air conditioned public place, like Wal-Mart or the movies or something.
