A garden in a pretty village in Derbyshire - Middleton-by-Youlgreave in the Peak District.
What's the big green truck?? And for fans of whacky rarities - a Vauxhall Cavalier with a German (Leipzig??) plate.
There is a bizarre backstory - the house is owned by a bloke who had filled the garden with 50 derelict Trabants (apparently the world's biggest collection??) ten years ago until the Peak District planning authority ordered them to be removed/scrapped - http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/motoring/features/for-the-love-of-a-trabi-531149.html , http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/derbyshire/3527201.stm , http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/derbyshire/7330722.stm , http://www.aparchive.com/search?startd=&endd=&allFilters=&query=trabants+derbysh- ire&advsearchStartDateFilter=&advsearchEndDateFilter=&searchFilterHdSDFormat=All- &searchFilterDigitized=All&searchFiltercolorFormat=All&searchFilteraspectratioFormat=- All

Spotted this 1980-84 Oldsmobile 98 on my street a few nights ago. It was gone the next morning, so no day pics.

The green truck is a MAN 630, the old most common West German Bundeswehr truck:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAN_630
In the back they were sold via https://www.vebeg.de/web/en/start/index.htm
At the Bundeswehr are none of them left, but sometimes some were given away by civil protection units. But actually there aren't any in official use any more.
The plates are from Leipzig, but export-plates. Quite strange, if they were originally used on this car, as the Cavalier never appeared over here.
And I thought the Southeastern U.S. was the only place you'll find something like this.
Naah, it's a kind of fancy lifestyle-topic now, so upcoming in Europe, too.
Although I'm not already finished to upload my pics from our K 70-meeting a week ago, I'll start with the first impressions from my latest weekend-trip - with the K 70 to https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/

Beginning with the sights, I've made around that event and on the whole tour:
On the ferry from Dünkirchen to Dover. When the owner saw me taking the pic, he was happy about the interest and told me, that he has bought it at new in 1980 and owns it since then. I refused the offer to sit in it - because I was anxious to stuck in it.

Parked in Eastbourne, where I stayed the first night:

Also in Eastbourne:

Besides the parking in Beaulieu, something for mike962:

Fortunately my K 70 had a dry place over the night, too

I was wondering about the smoke, it was a flat tire.

Here I could force the driver to stop, before smoke appeared - and before this rarity was in danger to be destroyed! Look at the back left tire!

Yesterday on the way back on the motorway nearby chicomarx-town:

On the ferry from Dünkirchen
How exotic ! It sounds like this ferry sails from a nice little village in the german countryside all the way to Dover.

Well, there are a plenty of locations, not just around there in the Ch'tis-country, which have different names in different languages.
But the worst about that does my TomTom-navi: it pronounces the most common names completely on German (caused by the software, based on single syllables). What a pain in the ass!
P.S. Even more irritating was the fact, that when I searched locations, where my Romanian K 70-fellow lives, the Navi always choose the old German names of the towns and villages over here:

I give up searching: late 1960s / early 1970s for sure, but what's this car? British or Italian? British with an Italian body? Some very rare Swiss Monteverdi with a specific body?
[...] the GMC logo on that white US stepvan is probably faked. [...]
Most probably not. It's a GMC P-Chassis (i.e. a Value Van but sold as chassis only) from the late 1990s (1995/96+ ???) with, as said in the brochures, "a van body from an independent supplier". See the attached excerpt of the 1999 light commercial brochure, with the GMC logo still present.

1973 Intermeccanica Indra "One of the rarest cars at the show was this Italian/American hybrid built in Italy by Carrozzeria Intermeccanica and fitted with engines and many other components from GM. This example is motivated by a 350-cubic-inch Corvette motor and GM Turbo Hydramatic transmission. One of just 27 2+2s built (there were 60 convertible and 40 two-seat coupes), it is driven daily. Production ended in 1975 when it became increasingly difficult to obtain the GM parts."

Thanks, dsl. I found some more info about these scarce models here:

This may explain why I thought about a Bitter CD at first
I read not that long ago a similar reason for the end of another exotic cars maker during the same period, but I can't remember which one. That's frustrating!
The Indras were produced from approximately early 1971 to mid-1974 with 127 cars completed.[...]
The engine power on most were either 327, 350 V-8 Chevy engines, or straight 6 Opel engines. [...]
Most of the Indras were sold in Germany through Opel Dealers Network. The car was a partial joint venture between Intermeccanica and Opel.
Indras have DeDion rear suspension and ZF recirculating ball power steering. They all had four wheel vented disc brakes.

Saw this one at the end of my street today.... pic is a little blurry because i had to be quick, light was about to change..... at least i got a better result than yesterday, got in the same situation with a early 2000's BMW M5 ( E39 ) and only got my left hand with my watch's bracelet....
Of course, the Maserati having a little power advantage over my car, i did not saw the front of it...

That "Impala SS" is actually a 1993-94 Caprice (most likely '94 by the looks of it) fitted with an Impala SS grille.

On the way back to home from the auto show from the weekend from last, I was able to stop and snap the retired fire engine on display.
A former City of Atlanta 2000 Spartan Gladiator Quality fire engine which recently retired from the service:
Yesterday on my way to the MARTA Five Points station, I spotted an old bus on the flat bed trailer. I manage to snap this picture from my cell phone in time before it disappeared for good. According to CPTDB wiki's site it was listed as 1956 GMC TDH-4512 'Old Look' fleet number 253:

Here the sightings from around the K 70-meeting two weeks ago.
These cars are owned by my club-friend, who owns a VW-garage. They were originally sold by him or his father. The VW-garage was established in 1964 and completely renovated -actually new built- in Spring 2016, re-opened two weeks before.
Something very very strange...a Golf III in full restoration with original parts...
It's a special edition "25 Jahre Golf GTI"
Here the bloke in the old black Roller-clunker has nearly smashed a K 70!!
At the same time with our meeting there was the
http://www.sachs-franken-classic.de/index.php?id=2
Some participants there obviously thought, that we belong to them - so this Rolls-driver was totally surprised, that the K 70 stopped and turned right onto the ground of the VW garage.
Randomly spotted on ore parking, driven by a young girl, who got it from her grandfather. Original 30.000 km.
A selfmade gift of our Romanian K 70-fellow (without tax-sticker...) After the evening in the old Gasthof it was empty
On the way back I stopped at a K 70-friend in the Westerwald, who repaired the totally worn out clutch of my K 70.
This Italy-reimport (ran in Napoli in its first life) has original 28.000 km and no rust nowhere.
I must admit, that the Romanian moonshine with 49% tastes better than this 9.5% hypersweet brain-crusher, although its fancy and stylish name...
In Germany we say "one pic says more than 1.000 words"

Hmm, this van has to be minimum 30 years old, as it has a historic license plate
(assumed, there were no tricks or cheats about the papers...)
Some sights from my England-trip from outside the museums and the market:
The "Roxby Garage" in Warshaw nearby Southampton. Can it be one of the oldest still existing car dealership-buildings? The architecture looks like early 1920ies or even older.
