In such case you can create a new thread
Weird, this sentence is nowhere in the site's code, so it comes from outside.
It must be one of the admins who sets it.
When clicking a few randomly many seem to be contributions from Raul1983, but not all, so there isn't really a pattern here...

I found it in one of my old contributions - this is how I discovered this. If someone set this information manually, I don't have problem with this, but to be honest don't think it is really necessary to have something like that, especially in situation when not all movies without alt. titles have this comment.

Well, it should not be set at all
Or else a lot of movies could be found if looking for one of the words of that fake title.
If we think it is useful, I can make that appear in case no alternative title is set yet.

@antp Is the font size adjusted to higher resolutions on Linux?
Compared to YouTube for example the comments here are much smaller. Equal size would be nice.
(I'm experimenting with Linux Mint)

Comparing a 2005-made site to Youtube or other recent site is a little unfair
Youtube uses responsive design, IMCDb sets all sizes in pixels so in case you have a higher DPI the browser tries to adjust it with more or less luck.
Also there is a trend to use bigger font sizes than before, quite noticing when one has a low-DPI screen where texts of modern sites like Youtube seem then "too big"...

Oh... I thought it was simply a matter of tweaking the CSS file a little bit. Microsoft Frontpage is more my level.

Well I could increase the size, but then on older displays it may look "too big" then (like many modern site do...)
The new version of the site will probably work better for that, we'll have to do tests with a few members/admins for tweaking that kind of things before public release anyway.

It keeps the first 100 characters (not sure why I made that so high) after stripping all words like "torrent", "dvdrip", etc., and keeping only letters, numbers, dashes and underscores.

For the purpose of hiding it's a rip you could also remove mkv avi mp4 ...
The browser limit is much higher, seems about 2048 characters, so no problem there.

Considering that also the IMDB is now https-available and correctly working (https://www.imdb.com/), but similarly to IMCDB isn't activated by default for now, it's possible to make redirects from the link at the film pages here to the https version of imdb.com?

Sure
Now if you use IMCDb in HTTPS, the IMDb links will be HTTPS too.
(those of the yellow IMDb icons, not any link posted in comments though)

Here are my suggestions:
1. That inscription about editing is annoying me since the first days on IMCDb. It makes a comment bigger and takes too much of useful space. Can we do something like on my picture?
2. Notifications system. You know, it's not very nice when you visit your movie page after weeks, months or more and see that some cars are gone. What cars they were? Who did this? And for what reason?
I suggest to add an ability to subscribe. Anyone can subscribe to any movie page and immediately receive notifications when someone makes changes (adding, deleting, editing...).
Contributors should probably be subscribed to their new movies automatically. However, you can add an ability to disable this option in account settings.
In addition, this system can be used when someone is calling to someone. Yes, I’m talking about those nicknames after the "@" symbol.

1. does not work easily with mobile/touch devices
does it really take so many useful space?
2. there will be more notifications, and we already implemented a solution to follow comments on specific pages, and later it will also allow to follow adds/edits
There is also a private message system, but notifications with a @ could be easily added.

1. does not work easily with mobile/touch devices
The site itself does not work easily with mobile devices Of course, when there's a mobile version it's easier to touch that small icon by your finger. But I find my idea more concise and compact anyway.
does it really take so many useful space?
Enough to at least think about it Do we really need to know every time when exactly a comment was edited? You see a pencil icon - isn't that enough in many cases?

I hope deletes are followable too? Glad to hear that anyway!

Hence why the new version is made with responsive design, to be useable on mobile devices.

Then I guess there should be no problems using that thing in the mobile version.

When logged, you can already check who's calling/quoting you in the comment page:
