As rtsbusman1997 says we usually considered that AM General was the most common one.
As for most of those listed on the site we have no way of knowing which maker it is (like often for tanks, as Mike said), we may decide a simple rule like all movies up to 1971 have Kaiser-Jeep and later ones have AM General?

You already know my point of view about it: I would agree if there were a by default/as default identification somewhere near that ID. Without it, I think that some people (including a certain German contributor
) will use again and again that default ID without even thinking a bit about it, just to make the unknown quickly disappear from the screen. I'm not sure accuracy would benefit from this...
