CougarTim,
A couple of years ago i stayed at a quite nice hotel a couple of meters from the capitol building. I suspect that this was the same that garage that we had our car parked in while staying at the hotel.

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, described as "the only six-figure four-door Chevelle you'll ever see." Why is it listed at $110,000? This one-of-one car was custom built by Indianapolis 500 winner Jim Rathmann at a dealership in Florida for William A. M. Burden, great-great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt, with a 472 cubic inch 375 horsepower Cadillac V-8 and a ton of performance options (including, uniquely, rear window wipers). It's a black four-door hardtop with plain steel wheels, a real wolf in sheep's clothing:
That's interesting. According to the sidemarker, it was once sold as 6-cylinder model

Not so unusual in Brussels (but not common either), I always funny to find big tractors like that in the middle of the city. Along that street there are many European offices. A little later I was at the side then in front of that tractor with wheels much higher than my car

Was it a real farming tractor or does is belong -which maybe could more probable
- to an anti-EU-demonstration of angry farmers?

It was just passing there, most likely a real tractor.

Hmm. On the sheet of information on the windshield the VIN is given as 136398A148907. The third digit 6 corresponds with V-8 according to http://www.ebay.com/gds/VIN-NUMBER-DECODE-CHEVROLET-CARS-1953-1971-ALL-MAKES-/10000000002267924/g.html

And from the show itself. There were of course a whole bunch of muscle cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, Thunderbirds, a whole section of Model A Fords, and the usual car show fare. These are just a couple of my personal favorites:
1965 Turner Mark III - We don't even have a Turner on the site. According to the info with the car, 673 Turners were built between 1955 and 1965 in Wolverhampton, England, of which only 268 are known to still exist, of which only 49 are Mark IIIs, of which only 14 are in the USA. Turners were assembled from a variety of mechanical parts from different manufacturers with fiberglass bodies; this one has a 1600cc Ford Cortina engine
1934 Hudson Terraplane
1976 GMC Vandura
1946 Cadillac convertible in unrestored condition
1914 Norwalk Underslung Six - Initially founded in Ohio in 1910, Norwalk built cars in Martinsburg, West Virginia, from 1911 to 1922. This is believed to be the only one still surviving. In 1914 a Norwalk cost 10 times the price of a Ford Model T. Website: http://www.norwalkmotorcar.com/index.html
1947 Chevrolet Ute - There was no info with this car, aside from a note that it was a "Holden body ute" and made in Australia in "Dimboola, NSW" (except that Wikipedia tells me Dimboola is in Victoria). That does not explain why it is left hand drive, or how it ended up here.
Other vehicles of note (pictures available upon request: Alfa Romeo Milano, Jensen-Healey, DeTomaso Pantera, Triumph TR8, 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 sedan, 1968 Ford Thunderbird sedan, 1963 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster, 1947 Nash Ambassador Suburban woody, 1969 Oldsmobile 98, Continental Mark II, Chevrolet Cosworth Vega, 1938 Oldsmobile, 1962 Oldsmobile F-85 Jetfire convertible, 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood d'Elegance coupe, Mack B-61 semi truck, 1953 Packard convertible, 1955 Packard Caribbean, 1955 Packard Clipper Constellation, 1933 Packard sedan, 1966 Shelby GT350, 1964 Dodge Custom 880 sedan, 1939 Plymouth pickup truck, and a whole bunch more.
A lot of cars I'd seen at the same show in previous years, so I only kinda glanced at them this year.

And recent sightings from the wild.
Behind the scenes at Dulles International Airport (that's one of the famous 'mobile lounges' on the left), an impressively totaled Chevrolet Caprice PPV
It takes a special kind of car to make a Nissan Versa look big
And on Friday, my manager pulled in to the parking lot at the office and got out just in time before this happened (Neptune, avert your eyes!). The entire office watched the whole thing.

Well, it looks like that Ford Expedition had its last expedition.

About the Turner - we nearly had one here - http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=680122 - which turned (!) out to be a Fairthorpe in the end - no relation but a fairly similar idea. Turner started with BMC engines, moving later to Ford but this was fairly flexible. UK cars were usually sold in kit form, but it was steadily exported to US as fully-built - so very rare to find a Turner, but if you do US is a reasonably likely place. Wolverhampton is a sort of down-market attachment to Birmingham, which is not a great starting point. It has one of my favourite placenames - Tettenhall The Wergs (which would have made a great name for a rock group - "Ladies and gentlemen, lets hear it for tonight's headliners - Tettenhall and The Wergs") - and is otherwise most famous as the hometown of Slade - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLsw668PVyY .
The orange Mini looks a perfectly normal 70s Mini 1000 with UK plates and an RAC badge - so ordinary that it's a surprising choice to ship to US instead of one of the more glamorous versions.

That is interesting CougarTim. Looks like these amber indicators were later add on before brought to the States.

DUKW seen yesterday:
Most likely heading to the city centre, for today's annual military parade (21/07 is Belgium's national day)

I watched the parade but I don't remember seeing a DUKW, perhaps it broke down on the way

Or maybe there were other military vehicles at another place for another parade/show.
