It was the previous generation of R5
On the picture it is the new one ("supercinq"), which was not exported to North-America, so no "LeCar".

About the first generation of Renault 5, my mother had one when I was 1 year old, bought as second-hand car. Two years later the car had to be "thrown away" due to rust... it was only 4 or 5 years old! (the technical inspection in Belgium was more strict than in France)

eh dude, for an old french car I would recommend the Citroen 2CV, it is even better lol
