Would it be possible to go straight to the unread message(s) when viewing the forum?
At prsent you have to view all the old/read messages first.
TIA

You mean in a topic, go directly on the new message?
In the list of topics, inside each section, if you click on the red square on the left (which indicate new unread messages) you go directly to the new message of the topic.

My bad; it is on the next level, thanks.
How about the forum menu repeated along the bottom to save scrollling back up to the top of the page to get back to the list?

Which menu? You mean the home/login/... blue menu at the top?
It is not so useful. You can go back to the list of categories with the "Category" link, in front of the categories drop-down list.
To check new messages in topics you can also use the "Latests Messages" link from the forum home.
