1987-1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 ( 1991 only if the wheels really left Dearborn with the car ). Nice to see that some people did resist the urge to put all kind of...things.. on the car

With hindsight, it looks nice ! I can see the similarities with the T160 Celica in the design. Unfortunately, Toyota Europe decided that only the top-spec versions could have color-keyed bumpers. My father nearly bought one of these in 1989, but the black plastic bumpers made the car look basic and cheap (ditto with the Corolla and Camry of the same era).
In the end, we stayed with Mitsubishi and the 1989-92 Galant was probably the best built car we ever had.

I saw one of those secret prototype cars on Friday, a week ago. You know the ones, wrapped in vinyl with camouflage patterns. But it's a bit strange.
Because I didn't spot it on a remote road somewhere in the countryside. It was in Brussels, just near my office, in plain sight. And it's clearly an Alfa Romeo Giulia, a car whose shape is already known for a year now.
But that Giulia is indeed a prototype : it has this camouflage vinyl wrap, even if some bits seem to be missing, there are a couple of barcode stickers on the driver's door, a temporary italian plate at the back - I'm not even sure if that's legal outside Italy - and no Alfa badges anywhere.
And I've just found that this car has been featured on Autogespot back in May.

Interesting bit of trivia : the "L4" code on the temporary plate means the car is registered, not in Milan, where Alfa Romeo headquaters are located, but in Modena.

Would have been more surprising to see a Milan plate, where Alfa Romeo is not headquartered there since... the 80s I think, when was bought by Fiat. Also the assembling plant in Arese, near Milan, was closed ten years ago. Not surprising is the Modena plate, where the Maserati plant is located and where 8C and 4C models are assembled.

you're almost right..
was near from where one of my friends lives for quite a while... might be still around .. but i don't see it as often as you do see the Accord in your pic...
@ Exiv96 : Must be nice to have your own name on a prototype...
i have mine on a bunch of trucks

Back when I spent a lot of time in Edinburgh (up to about three years ago), there was an old Accord like that parked up all the time in the city centre. It was on Cockburn Street by Fleshmarket Close which was a useful shortcut to the train station (meaning I saw it everyday
). It was a nice thing to see all the same and maybe one day it might pop up on IMCDB (we've had the street a few times on IMCDB, IIRC). Can't find the picture I took of it.
As for the prototype, I read once that some car manufacturers keep them testing to advertise the new car. A prototype with all the "camouflage" can really attract attention which might explain why Alfa still have that Giulia running about through a busy area when the car is already on sale in mainland Europe (but not the UK
). Alternatively, they might be testing one of the engines they've not yet released.

Nice to see others though. There's a dark green one a few miles south of me in an apartment complex. I think it's an '85 though.

seen yesterday, from what i read on web, red one would be a 1974 . I assume white is 1973 or older ( what a brillant deduction..
)
Also, this Nissan Axxess in pretty good shape. Not that exciting but getting rare now, especially like this one as some i saw were so rusted that you almost could 'axxess' the inside without opening a door or window

That's the rare model that sold better in Canada than the US. It was only sold during the 1990 model year here.

here they made it until 1995 . the one i saw looks the later ones ( around 1993-1995 ), the headrest seems to look like
instead of the older 'Volvo 240-inspired' ones
But i can't find the exact year when the change was done..

Now the sights from the last weekend, my wife and me have spent in Zandvoort/NL. Just a bit relaxing and a bit beach life.
I couldn't find out the make, but definitely no original:
I cannot remember any other beaches, where you have "food tractors" like this. This was not the only one.
Similar unusual for me:
Decoration at one beach bar:
An unusual waste service:
As some of the other shots, also spotted from the hotel-window:
The trailer is somehow self-propelled, too. When it was loosened from the tractor, it's shunted by a remote-control with a cable.

The Bugatti replica is based on VW according to reg. plate.
Tried to check pics of Bugatti replicas/kit-cars to comapre them, but after these:

I was in Zandvoort 3 years ago. Its a nice town and you have a good look from most tribunes at the race track.
Btw, i hate the Bugatti Veyron and i really don't understand the hype about this car. Those replicas dont make me like it more...

I thought about doing something like that years ago to my 1983 Chevy Malibu station wagon, partially after seeing a book on antique car collecting where someone else did the same thing to a Chevy station wagon from a good 30 years earlier, and partially due to an accident caused by some kid in a first generation Honda Accord who lost his brakes.
