Trim level in italics ... Looks good, improves the aesthetics

it was just for a test, as you were putting these in italics in your messages, I thought it could be good to do the same in the titles.
If most of the people find it good, I guess I will keep it.

Brougham is the only thing written in the trim level field, the rest in the model field.

No, I wrote my comment the same time as you did, I just wanted to explain why Royale wasn't in Italics, I should have been a little more clear I guess.

There are still 25 other Delta 88 Royale.
So is Royale a separate model or just a trim/version of the Delta 88?

I find this italic extra info nice. But it still not solve the problem of share between "model name" and "extra info" for many cars listed and problem about seek-motor on "extra info " field.

All Delta 88s of the period were "Royale" (i.e. it is the base trim).... BUT that doesn't mean it still isn't part of the trim, and should be italicised along with "Brougham" and such.

Yes I have to redesign the database to handle that in a cleaner way, as well as body makers etc.
Putting that in italics was 20 seconds of work, redesigning the database to organize infos in a more clever way is much more work

I agree with you with that idea, but how about writing extra infos just in non-bold character (the same one used for the Audi's trim levels B5, B6, C5,...), instead of italics (that I don't like too much)?

I think having the trim level in italics is a bit pointless and looks somewhat pretentious (it'll look worse for cars with base trim-levels like GLS, LS, L etc. and cheap mickey mouse cars like Daewoos. In fact a lot of trim level lettering is meaningless isn't it?). It looks like you're trying to draw attention to something which may be not anything special. But that's just me.

I vote leave the italics out of the title fields.

For those who use Firefox, you can easily override site styles by modifying the usercontent.css file of your profile, and define new rules for styles
(but both of you use IE, if I remember well)

I agree with G-MANN...sometimes I believe that some vehicles on here have too much info. I'm okay with trim names and the official names for certain bodies (ex: Ford uses SuperCab while Chevrolet uses Extended Cab). But I've always noticed that some people use the extra info field to input things such as "Police," "Ambulance," or "Four-Door Sedan." I mean is such info necessary? That's what the class field is for. And those aren't official names for the vehicles.

Ambulance was used at first to separate from others, but maybe not so useful indeed. The Four-Door Sedan was used in descriptive name of some cars, no? Especially on older cars.
Even for recent ones, like the Citroën C4, in its hatchback version is officially named "berline" (means "sedan") to differentiate it from the coupé, though that it is not in the model name, so just put as extra info.
For those which did not use it in official brochures etc., it should not be mentioned.

I would have to agree on vilero's side with respect to the wagon, and I am trying to cover my bias towards the Lassie TV series. Oftentimes the station wagon models would be separated by seat pattern, so in this case the "E" variant has 3 rows of seats for a total of 9 passenger spaces.
