you'd prefer boring grey or dull metallic ?

I said "colors", not non-colors.

For the record half the cars I've owned have been actual colors (2 green, 1 red, my current blue) and half not (2 white, 1 black and 1 silver).

That gold is hideous.

It doesn't look bad, but has none of the elegance of the original Passat CC.

And that name ! It's bland, meaningless, and sounds like a computer processor (like Athlon, Duron, Celeron, Sempron, and so on) or a new range from a german RV manufacturer.

Pop.Up, or the return of the flying car? Unveiled by ItalDesign (part of Audi) and Airbus, Pop.Up is said to be functioning at the end of 2017 and on the road (and in the air, then) within 10 years.
If really functioning at the end of the year, we may expect some product placement in future SF movies. In which class should we have it?

Dongfeng Rich rebadged as Peugeot Pick-Up, just for Africa.

And later a new "real" Peugeot pickup for South America, Russia and maybe Europe

Rebadged Dongfeng, but based on the 1st. gen. Nissan Navara: should it have China or Japan, as origin?

The United States Postal Service is finally looking for new trucks to replace the ancient Grumman LLV's, which were last purchased in 1994. They have six bidders for the new contract for 180,000 new vehicles. They are testing around 50 prototypes from all six in Southern Michigan, Northern Virginia and Arizona.

The six manufacturers in the running are:

AM General
Karsan Otomotiv/Morgan Olson (Turkey)
Mahindra (India, through their Troy Michigan office)
Oshkosh
Utilimaster
VT Hackney/Workhorse

The prototype from Mahindra was spotted in Michigan:

The priorities will make the trucks taller and longer, to make package delivery easier, as that is becoming more important than regular mail delivery and to make the vehicles safer and more comfortable for the drivers. They'll be the first ones with A/C.

Made by an Italian coachbuilder for the 70th anniversary of the original van, and apparently available since May 2017, here is the "new" Type H:
https://images.caradisiac.com/logos/6/7/5/5/196755/S7-citroen-le-type-h-sur-base-de-jumper-officiellement-vendu-a-42-900-eur-114227.jpg

Based on a 2014+ Citroën Jumper basis, 70 units of each model were scheduled, which means 140 vans for now (only the panel van and the Minibus can be purchased). But will really a lot of people invest in this "vintage" marshmallow, knowing that this kit of plastic pieces is about 1/3 to 2/3 of the price of a standard van (43,000 € for an already "disguised" van, 21,800 € the transformation kit, while a basic Jumper costs 31,500 €)?

(The last lyrics of the song used in the promotional video won't help increasing the sales, at least in French speaking country: did any one tell the marketing team that "Je vais seule car personne ne m'aime" means "I wander lonely because nobody loves me"? Using a foreign language isn't usually the best option, when you don't know it  )

Mitsubishi sent me an e-mail ( i think it was friday ) to promote the 2018 Eclipse Cross ( the e-mail mainly promoted a Diamond Edition of it, limited to 150 units nationwide )

CHMSL is located in the bar that runs across the rear window
looks like the weirdly designed little SUV market ( Nissan Juke, Toyota CH-R to name some ) gets a new player

I agree. Unfortunately it's one of the primary automotive design trends of the 2010s, the horrible grotesque "aggressive gaping grille" look. I'm hoping it dies out soon. Cars this decade made the ugliest cars of decades past look like works of art by comparison.

Nissan, please, why would you call it the Kicks? You already have a car with that name, just spelled differently, so why couldn't you be more creative? I seem to be the only person who has noticed this.

At least they're not as bad as Honda, who have a Jazz, Jazz and Jazz.

i like that agressive front design but it doesn't fit on every vehicle ( it spreads more like a disease than a styling cue for a specific manufacturer... )

for the Kicks, if i was Nissan , i'd keep the Juke name
