I went to the doctor with my mom today and near the clinic there was a old man with this car. He told me it was a 1975. Also missed a Tesla Model S, a early 70's Cadillac, a 2nd gen VW Scirocco with European headlights and a nice BMW M4, a live version of the Hot Wheels i bought last month. Here is the 1975 Chrysler Newport

i forgot, i saw also my 1st 2016 ( a Honda HR-V )
here is the back of the Chrysler. The old man added himself the " Oldsmobile style " reverse lights on the car but i forgot to ask if they were functional. When he told me this, as i'm not familiar with the model, i thought that the added ones were the ones on the bumper.... :halalala:

I've never saw one converted into a Class C mini-motor home... not that I see those things on this side of the Atlantic in the first place, mind you.

Because of the size or because it's a Sherpa? Actually I cannot remembery any European* made Van, of whom there was NOT a Camper-conversion.

*West European. In the COMECON there were no Camper at all.

I like the fender skirt idea. Hard to make it well without changing of the whole fender (in case of this model), but at least from some distance it can looks good.

O.k., great, let's wait for your evidence pictures :sol:

Were these Camper -on which basis?- really manufactured or were they just home-made by private persons?

From the DDR I never ever have noticed any Camper, AFAIK neither even my DDR-car-expert-fellows. Not even real Hearses didn't exist there (except two or three handcrafted Dacia 1300-Hearses).
But the lack of Campers is easily understood: a regular Zoni (insulting name for DDR-citizens) was not allowed to travel abroad (except in some COMECON-countries, and then under restrictions) at all. So why a need for a Camper?

OK, if you mean only a serious serial production of standarized bodies/conversions, then you can be right - nothing comes to my mind at the moment. I was thinking also about the "homemade" ones - such motorhomes of course existed.

On the other hand, I remember, I read once description of this Trabant scale model: http://www.mojehobby.pl/products/Trabant-601-Wohnmobil-1980.html
Author claimed that in case of real car it was possible to order such conversion in DDR, but I was unable to confirm it.

No, this is definitely not from DDR-times. The coachwork is fully Western made. Such a conversion may exist, but as all the other Trabant-mutations (Cabriolet, Stretch-Limo, 4x4, Big Foot and many more), it's from 1990 onwards.

And if the bloke really says "possible to order", it's absolute bullshit. This was impossible in the DDR.

Not one of Patrick "Luckyman" Le Quément's best works (co-working, to be exact). But not the worst (see the Vel Satis)

Last Saturday noon at our local car-wash:

The actual owner bought this car -a sixcylinder-version- 20 years ago from a friend, who imported it from the USA. 10 years ago it was restored.

Traffic lights for rjluna2

This weekend we had our https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sch%C3%BCtzenfest in the village. Actually there are even two Schützenfeste at the same tame. For traditional reasons: until 1975 my village was divided for over 400 years, in a Catholic Westphalian part and a Protestantic Rhenisch part.
Good, that I'm Atheistic - because I don't know, in which part my house is standing.
Anyways, it's totally irrelevant nowadays, just a historic footnote, which noone interests.

You can rent it for private tours and ecents.

Seen today at my garage (if I wouldn't be Atheistic, I would say a little prayer, that my Vectra will pass the TÜV-test tomorrow)

Always have a Plan B

There is a difference between the Leaf's plate and the Mustang's one that in the next post. A brand new empty box to the first one who finds it
