I have a ton of kits but I very rarely finish one...I usually screw up the paint job LOL. Right now I'm working on a couple of Woody wagons from the 1940s, as well as a project that would turn a '64 Ford Thunderbolt into a regular Fairlane 500.

I love your collection of old toy cars!!!!! are any of those in 1:43 scale?

Do you mean the WIKING-collection? As Antoine wrote, they are all 1:87. There were some 1:40 WIKING in the laste 60ies, but they had been always to expensive for me. I had my own rule while collecting WIKING, not to pay more than 20 D-Mark (10 €) per each. It was in the times, I only got pocket money.
So it's not a real valuable collection. The 80ies-WIKING-models are still quite cheap, because before 1978 there production-amount was smaller, so even in the mid-80ies the prices for mid-70ies-cars were high.

In the early 70ies WIKING had stopped to make 1:40-models. Just some years they started again with it. The tools of the 1:40-models were sold to the company CURSOR, who made them. So the CURSOR-models are really good and detailed.
The 1:40 CURSOR-toys were avaialable at VW-dealers, packed in original VW-boxes. The 1:40 K 70 was developed by WIKING, but only produced by CURSOR.

The tools of all these CURSOR-models are still existing. Some years ago I talked with the owner of them. So if you want, you can order a re-production. The VW T2-Bus-Club does is since a couple of years. Every year they let produce special coloured versions.

The only 1:43-models, I own, you can see in the box with my childhood-toys.

Sorry, but the Golf I Cabriolet is a WIKING.

The Red Cross-VW T3-Bus is no WIKING either. It's a Herpa or a Brekina?

I had only a very few Herpa between my 1:87-collection, and I've sold or swapped them, because I want to reduce it only on WIKING. I think, that last WIKING I've bought, was the VW Vento (in 1993?). Since that years the cars are hanging untouched in the boxes.

yes, indeed. i'v got them in my room, next to my bed, and under my tv. i can't explain it in english, how i'v put them there. but i know that i have to many. but i want to place them in a special room, with my future car. because i'm looking for a 1977 Trans am. and in my garage there is enough space, voor all of them. its pretty cool, when im finisht with it.

I guess everyone knows I collect 1/64th-ish scale cars (estimated over 40,000 in my collection) ..But I do have some, maybe a couple of thousand larger scale cars (I try to avoid them as I don't have much room!) Still they're hard to resist, especially if seen at a good price!
Here's one I guess TonkaTracker has in his collection:-

http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/4592/geotracker1989tootsieto.th.jpg
I have listed this as a 1989 Geo Tracker (made by Tootsietoy)
Next is something for Neptune:-

Made by Buddy-L in 1999.

Well I will be glad to take that Geo Tracker off of your hands (since you don't have much room :sol: ) The only tootsie toy Tracker I have is purple (it is the only one that I had ever seen for sale) The sad thing is the reason my name is tonka tracker is because my tracker was yellow, but I had no idea tootsietoy made a yellow one

I have about 500 cars in 1:60, 1:87, 1:76, 1:24, 1:32, 1:43... you name it. My first model cars were a JCB Excavator from matchbox king series and a 1:43 Volkswagen Samba T1 from Solido, bought at Hamley's in 1994. My favourite model cars makers are Days Gone, Brekina, Hotwheels, Matchbox and Majorette.

Stronghold, may I ask how is it possible that you have 40,000 cars in your collection?? That's crazy, I mean that's like you have spent more than 140000 £ on model cars, supposing a car costs 3,50 £. :wow:

Sorry Tonkatracker, I'd like to hang onto the Only one i've ever seen around, also! (I like to have as many Unusual makes in my collection and I doubt i'd come across another if I let this one go)

Lateef, I've been collecting from childhood (started around 1968 ...Over 40 years ago!) I still have many from that era and have managed to keep my collecting going strong over the years (Not drinking or smoking kept me away from pubs & clubs ..so a big load of money has been spent on cars!)
Also i'm Not worried about collecting only 'Mint cars in Mint boxes' and never taking them out of their packaging, as some collectors do (..well are they collectors? or just Investors in future sales??, That's Not my thing!)
I don't mind having reasonably good condition secondhand/used/loose cars in my collection also.
Another thing, I don't collect any specific make or model, so virtually anything goes.!

I've recently purchased these Ferrero Kinder surprise veteran race cars on E-bay.
I knew the silver car was a Land speed record car (Jenatzy 1899 electric car) & have seen the other two before, but don't know what they are?
Any help please

this pic is from the actual E-bay auction I won, below is a pic from a website which sells Kinder cars-
