Model Cars......who else collects them?

I've recently purchased these Ferrero Kinder surprise veteran race cars on E-bay.
I knew the silver car was a Land speed record car (Jenatzy 1899 electric car) & have seen the other two before, but don't know what they are?
Any help please
this pic is from the actual E-bay auction I won, below is a pic from a website which sells Kinder cars-

There was also a timelapse video of the building:

As said on a forum where I posted it, quite a waste for such ugly model, they should have rather made a Mustang

I've a déja-vu now. Something in the backyard of my brain says, that I had this Scania-truck, too. Not at home, but at my grandmother at the Baltic Sea. But it doesn't exist any more for sure...
If it was made already in the early 70ies, it's definate.

I also have one or two of those Scanias somewhere. They're still being made by Plasto in the Åland Islands: http://www.plasto.fi/product.con?iLan=1&iPage=2&itg_id=4&ite_id=52

I would estimate somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 model vehicles in my collection.

This Whitsun-weekend we had -as every year- our K 70-club-meeting. This year in Eastern Germany, in the area Oschersleben/Magdeburg. It was organized by our "authentic DDR-member", the felloy, who bought his K 70 at the 10.November 1989. He didn't know, what he has bought at the VW-dealer in the first village on the Western side, but it has cost 600 D-Mark, exactly that amount, he and his friends had owned together.
On Saturday we had been here http://www.oscherslebenbode.de/verzeichnis/visitenkarte.php?mandat=101573 a funny location. A mixture of car- and DDR-museum and a restaurant - everything was authentic DDR, even the toiletpaper! Of course the food is fresh, but also exclusively from East Germany. But furniture, glasses, tableware, cutlery, etc., everything is original DDR.
For this thread these pics:
Of course every toy is DDR- or COMECON-made.
This -quite new- location is founded and ruled by the local junkyard-owner. Very plausible - for whom else it's that perfectly possible, to dig out and pick up all this stuff?
More pics wil follow in the other threads.

Today I found the driver of an "Arnold 2500" Military Police Jeep from my Dad's childhood. I bet the rest of the car still is stored anywhere in my parent's house (in the background that's just a picture on the internet). When I saw it for the last time about 15 years ago, several parts were loose or broken. The Jeep was a popular tin toy in post-war Germany and it's now worth between 50 and 250 Euro.

Note for Tonka Tracker:-
I just found this on E-bay, if you are still after one?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Strombecker-1970s-Yellow-Jeep-plastic-5-Tootsietoy-Tracker-Metal-plastic-/151057500732?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item232bba8a3c
Blue I think is better than my Yellow one.
Good luck
Steve

Spotted yesterday in Bockhorn:
I had one of those when I was a young lad in the days when Hillman Imps and Minxes ruled the roads. It was a short-lived innovation - each track contained a lengthy coiled spring, with each hut having a motor which turned cogs into the coils of the spring to push it round the track. You also got a set of pegs and sticker pads, so you could fix a peg onto the base of any toy car, drop it into the spring and then watch it whizz round the track. You could reverse the direction of either circuit (for a road with traffic in both directions, and run lots of cars/lorries etc at the same time) or run them in the same direction as a race track (which is what I did most of the time, but I had a longer track with equal lengths). Its advantage was fairly cheap compared to eg Scalextric as it did not need special cars - you could use your ordinary favourites out of the toybox. Disadvantage in my case was one motor always ran slightly faster than the other, so racing was too predictable outcome. Also the spring was fairly clumsy for making extended tracks - you could get extra lengths and connectors, but not as versatile as other track systems.
It was fun for what it was but desirability was quickly overtaken by Hot Wheels and other (Corgi Rockets, Matchbox Superfast) plastic track systems at end of 60s.
Not quite the same thing, but did anyone have a Hot Wheels Sizzler set?? I did, but same problem - some cars were always faster than others, so racing was again impossible.

Some weeks ago I finally found and bought a Matchbox Live 'n Learn (intended for small kiddies, but very rare!) on the flea market. For those who don't know: They're basic Matchbox cars, but with a sickening paint job, usually with the ABC, a face or numbers on it. The one I got is a red Ford boom truck with yellow base and arm, blue boom, yellow alloys, missing bucket, chipped paint and...blue tires!

I had a thought for you all while seeking informations about the Subaru Sambar kei-kar (click on pictures to go to the videos):
Seems to exist a lot of models:

(Sorry, I don't read nor speak Japanese, so I don't know if there's a way to search only model cars on this website)
