I did a bit of shopping in France, a while ago, and the results were good.



Until I got home and had a closer look. I already had a '69 Mustang Mach I.



But the new one looks quite different. In fact it doesn't look at all like a Mach I. The wheels, the stripes are different, there are even "BOSS 429" graphics on the sides of the model car. But the actual Boss 429 didn't have those graphics. And Ford didn't even offer a metallic grey color in 1969!

Long story short: I haven't been to the movies in years, so I didn't recognise the John Wick Mustang. Because that's what this is. The John Wick connection isn't mentioned on the packaging or the accompanying leaflet, because the licensing would probably cost too much to the publisher.

Anyway, I don't collect movie cars, so I don't know yet what I'll do with this car. Anyone interested ?

Speaking of American cars, I just bought this Camaro, I have yet to open it:


It’s the first issue of the American cars partwork collection, second edition. In the first edition, the first release was the black Mustang visible in Exiv’s post above (which I bought too), they were nice in offering a different model as first this time

Most of the models from this series are very nicely made. However, some choices seem to come from no more than a simple Google image search. The convertibles with the top up, the fake Chevrolet Nova Yenko, the Dodge Dart Sport with stripes à la Starsky & Hutch... Of course, the target audience of these scale model collections is not just us car nerds.

I absolutely hate the bodykit they gave to the car but love the color and i just went by the fact that it might be the only Corrado i'll ever find..
