Indeed that article seems to announce its arrival
No commercial documents in French, though?
One conflicting example:
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_209445-Renault-5-1984.html
Is it an older model? Or a newer one with a modified badge?
Or did both 5 & LeCar coexist?
I'm not sure using "5" as chassis code is good, as a few of them have their real chassis code (R122-something)

Maybe we should ask french-speaking Canadians if they know more ? But I do remember seeing a very rusty Renault 5 during my trip to Québec, back in 2001. Could it be that it continued to be called Renault 5 in the Belle Province only ?

Wasn't it the habit if having "Ambulance" appended to the model name?
We have that for a lot of car models.
Maybe we could change that, but then it should maybe be decided for all models (and done for all rather than separately for each model).

^ never understood why ambulance was in the model name when we have a category for ambulance?
Just do a search for Renault Master and select ambulance category. Seems redundant to have the model name and category the same.

I think we should keep the term "Ambulance" for models that have undergone a major transformation such as the Xantia, CX, DS, 405, 406...
But for utilities whose transformations are not so huge, the category "Ambulance" is enough.
To take one of your answers.

That's what I meant by this:
Maybe we could change that, but then it should maybe be decided for all models (and done for all rather than separately for each model).
Making a list of all the concerned models to change all at once.
I'll fix these too then.

Do we utilize these codes in our database? I am rather unsure.
D1 (VW Phaeton/Bentley)
edit
The D1 platform cars (not to be confused with the earlier Audi V8 platform) share some components with the D3 platform, but have conventional steel bodyshell construction.
Bentley Continental GT (Typ 3W, 2004–2018)
Bentley Flying Spur (Typ 3W, 2005–2019)
Volkswagen Phaeton (Typ 3D, 2003–2016)
Porsche Panamera (Typ 3D, 2010-2016)
Maybe I missed a previous discussion on the matter.

Usually we do not use platform codes, as they are rather general, shared across a lot of models, which often each have more specific codes. The "Typ" codes for example are more useful.

Yes, Ishould have specified the platform code
I know we use the Phaeton code but do we not use the Typ codes for the porsche/Bentley corresponding models?
