They seem to like cars: they already used a Ford Escort and a Ford F-1 (plus a non-identified Lego car) in their 2010 video-clip of This Too Shall Pass...

It is not non-identified, it is a replica of the Escort

An automotive body farm?

- including a 1973 Taunus XL TC1.

I really like the contrast :smile:

"Amongst the 60 cars, the estimates vary from €500 to several million euros. They will be displayed and sold as they are. Just as we found them."
Once again: crisis? What crisis?

Not really a car video, but these girls misidentified a mid-1990's Ford Crown Victoria as a Cadillac Escalade.

The monthly meeting of the Gazoline magazine, near Paris: nearly 8 minutes of (more or less) old and (more or less) beautiful cars. 2 watchwords: friendliness and eclecticism.

Don't know if anyone else is interested, but here's a short film on electric vans and trucks from 1984:

[...] here's a short film on electric vans and trucks from 1984 [...]

The music killed my ears :tinostar:
No big changes in the selling points compared with today: non-polluting, noiseless, same or somewhat lesser price when considering the whole life cycle of the vehicle, no gearbox, driver-friendly... As far as I know, it has been (and will certainly continue to be) the same speech since the "birth" of the automobile, when the gas engines were not seen as the only possible powering solution (remember the electric "La Jamais Contente", first car to reach 100 km/h / 62 mph in 1899).
But each time a (small) fall in gasoline prices comes, and automobile makes "stop to believe" in it...

A 1968 overview about the electric cars (in French):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NU_5-E_lNg
Featuring:
- the 1942 "Œuf électrique" (electric egg) of Paul Arzens;
- some British electric vans;
- the 1967 Ford Comuta;
- the (fast seen) 1966 GM Electrovan;
- and a lot more of electric vehicles.
At 12:02: "I don't think fuel cells vehicles will be available to the public until 1975" :grin:
At 12:53 (with a Comuta as example): "The electric car could be a second car, that multiple users could share...": the very beginning of the idea of car-sharing? As said in "your" documentary, Sandie, this is the "Electric revolution" :joce:

Result of the auction, held last Friday: 25.15 million euros (including selling scosts), i.e. twice the initial estimate.
Pictures here (fr).

Among the cars sold: a 1961 Ferrari 250 California that belonged to Alain Delon from 1963 to 1965. It was sold 14.2 million euros!

I'll never understand why a Delahaye Type 43 coupé-chauffeur Audineau et Cie,
http://elmer.re/images/minipic.php?img=Baillon2
101 years old, is only estimated at 6,000 to 8,000 euros while a 1949 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport SWB in worst shape
http://elmer.re/images/minipic.php?img=Baillon3
(estimated at 600,000 euros) can be sold 1.45 million euros...
