On the road I also saw this one:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/citroenazu/8730284093/in/set-72157633476036136/
(exactly this one, with the yellow 2CV AK based trailer)
It is an English kit (named "Manx" it seems) on a 2CV basis
But my dashcam was not properly connected.
Which sadly made missing a nice scene: a VW Tiguan was driving too fast and was arrested by highway police just in front of me
(I slowed down to let the police car enter on the highway, just after the VW passed me after having tailgated me while I was passing another car at normal speed)

Someone posted this photo under Chevrolet C/K on Wiki Commons.
Photo taken in 1989 of damage done by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in San Francisco. Shows the top deck of the collapsed Nimitz Freeway.
Pictured is a two-tone red & white 1983-1984 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Fleetside, white BMW 7-Series (E23), white Ford L-Series (tractor-trailer), and a small silver unknown four-door hatchback/wagon (Hyundai?).

I've mentioned the existence of the Dodge Aspen Demon on a couple of pages, most notably here:
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=578113
Evidently somebody doubted that this was real. But here's one now.

An Aspen with Volaré taillights? Definitely a modified car.

I was going to mention that to you actually, but forgot. I saw the owner (who works for the magazine Practical Classics) post about it on another forum a few days ago: http://autoshite.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16635&sid=4626d1db30039be6178f43- 1cc0d05465 (the people on there tend to like unloved older cars, mostly ones too new for your taste though).
Today I saw this, for antp, chicomarx and rjluna2 (I don't know how, but in spite of trying manfully to get the newer SAAB parked next to it clearly in shot failed miserably):
About 1/2 an hour later not far from there I saw a lime green Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (registered VE11 TCH or similar) but the (bald, middle-aged) driver was too fast for me.

Thanks, very interesting! Here it was called "Dacia 1310". The 1300 was R12 first series and the 1310 was R12 second series. It's practically identical (outside and inside - the dashboard, the steering wheel) with R12 second series. R12 second series came in 1976, but it received four round headlights only in 1978. The production stopped in 1980. So, practically, this Dacia is a 1970s car, though probably dates from the beginning of the '80s (the 1310 came in 1979).
This is a 1978 R12: http://capri-1600s-r12.over-blog.com/categorie-11521867.html . As you can see, there are only a few differences: the R12 has a chromed frame around the grill, which Dacia 1310 never had (though 1300 had); the extremities of the bumpers are, at Dacia, made of rubber (NOT plastic); Dacia's air vents still are like those of R12 first series/Dacia 1300 (only early 1310 had these air vents, they were pretty quickly replaced with R12 second series air vents); the dashboard is covered with "wood" (never here, this was only for external market). But these are trifles, the car is practically identical with R12 (compare with the photos from the link I posted above). So what you have here is a very rare Romanian R12 made for UK.
(Btw, in those pics you can see that a R12 can rust as good as a Dacia
).Latest Edition: 25/05/2013 @ 21:16:51

At these new Belgian diplomatic plates, can you see by the number, from which embassy or organisation it is?

No, these are sequential numbers starting at
- AA001 (royal family)
- YA001 (square plates)
- ZA001 (small plates)
I guess that regular ones (like on my photo) started as AB001 but I didn't find a source (currently they reached AFxxx)

1972 - patriarch Justinian's Cadillac: http://volganeagra.blogspot.ro/2012/11/cadillacul-patriarhului-justinian.html .
(In the backround - the patriarchal cathedral, built between 1654-1658, on the left, and the palace of the chamber of deputies, built in 1907, on the right. In the communist regime, the palace was the building of the parliament, which was named "Marea Adunare Nationala" (the Great National Assembly) - denomination visible on the palace's frontispiece.)

A dealer sticker. http://m.traen.eu/ In Flanders there's a bad habit of putting the surname before the first name.
