I've stumbled across this DVD ... beautiful movie ... not many cars present but I also want to see if my cut/crop/resized skills (?) are improving

One-star

- Corvair convertible? http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/3075/ndvd002zk5.th.jpg

- car on the left (if possible) http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/6970/ndvd003qg3.th.png

- two 'classics' http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/2290/ndvd008ql6.th.jpg

- this wagon 'should' belong to a character, but it's seen only in the background of this shot, so I put it in the one-star category http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/6312/ndvd009ke6.th.jpg

- a lot of nice cars parked here, I got a second shot for something that appears to be a Ferrari? http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/1051/ndvd012kq7.th.jpg
http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/48/ndvd013yl9.th.jpg
I think the white Rolls Corniche reappears here, always as background http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/8449/ndvd026pb0.th.jpg

- car in background on a film daily ... background car nevertheless? http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/6959/ndvd024sk2.th.jpg

Two-stars

- Chevy Belair '57, this vehicle is used by the main characters but only in one scene ... for me is a two-star, you guys decide http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/9610/ndvd006ao5.th.jpg

- same happens with this Porsche 356 ... seen in two shots, here http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/8426/ndvd010cm9.th.jpg
http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/9272/ndvd011bp6.th.jpg
and here http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/1051/ndvd012kq7.th.jpg

- and for this Mercedes ... http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/2130/ndvd022np1.th.jpg

- and this SL which we only see in this shots http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/6706/ndvd025ym8.th.jpg
http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/8449/ndvd026pb0.th.jpg

- VW Trasporters? http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/2070/ndvd021jd1.th.jpg
http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7048/ndvd017mg4.th.jpg
http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/9/ndvd030lb4.th.jpg

- vehicle used only in this shot by a secondary character http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/5523/ndvd014bb5.th.jpg

Three-stars

- Bruce Lee (main character) rides the bike in more occasions, I believe is a Triumph Bonneville. These are the only shots in which it does not blur and/or gets a full frame http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/4039/ndvd004rx6.th.jpg
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/2290/ndvd005xx5.th.jpg

I got a couple more but I a m facing multiple problems... hope latter before the site goes into maintenance

It is only the site that will be under maintenance, not the forum
Picture seem good, except a ratio problem
It is especially visible on these two pictures:

Maybe I have some tips for your 'ratio-problems'....

I have had some troubles myself, but now it seems to be OK.

I make screencaptures with Media Player Classic. This provides me pictures of 720x576 pixels.
Mostly on the DVD is written what the ratio is, 4:3, 5:4, 16:9.

4:3 = 1.333333333333
5:4 = 1.25
16:9 = 1.85

I make this sum (I don't know a good word for it, sorry).

720 / 1.33333333 (depending on the DVD ratio) = 540.
Then I make the picture 720x540 pixels.

You can also do this with a width you want (640 / 1.333333333 = 480, so 640x480).

P.S.

If I have time tomorrow, I will upload them (if imcdb is up...)

Looks kind of Chrysler-ish. Then again, it's in the dark.

The red & white wagon is a Rambler, and the white one is a Ford Falcon.

I think you DVD-ratio is 2.35. I had nog mentioned that option above.

The image is 720 wide.
Do: 720 / 2.35 = 306, the new hight must be 306, then it looks OK and the wheels are round...

So:

4:3 = 1.333333333333
5:4 = 1.25
16:9 = 1.85
?:? = 2.35 *

* I don't know that scale, but if it's not one of the others, it's 2.35

OK, so after some time I've managed to se-size all pics to the (I hope) correct ratio.

One-star

- Studebaker Lark
http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/8175/resizeofndvd002zk5ds2.th.jpg

- car on the left (if possible) It was mentioned it looked Chrysler-ish
http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/3813/resizeofndvd003qg3ci8.th.png

- two 'classics' .. one is a Rambler
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5081/resizeofndvd008ql6kb6.th.jpg

- this wagon probably belongs to a character, but it's seen only in the background of this shot, so I put it in the one-star category
It was suggested is a Falcon (US Falcon, that is  )
http://img346.imageshack.us/img346/9858/resizeofndvd009ke6dk7.th.jpg

- a lot of nice cars parked here, I got a second shot for something that appears to be a Ferrari?
http://img330.imageshack.us/img330/4376/resizeofndvd012kq7tc9.th.jpg
http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/5615/resizeofndvd013yl9op7.th.jpg

- I think the same white Rolls Corniche reappears here, always as background
http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/7023/resizeofndvd026pb0lr1.th.jpg

- car in background on a film daily ... more background than this it cannot get, really?
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/2401/resizeofndvd024sk2nq4.th.jpg

Two-stars

- Chevy Bel-Air Convertible '57, this vehicle is used by the main characters but only in one scene ... for me is a two-star, you guys decide
http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/7012/resizeofndvd006ao5xe6.th.jpg

- same happens with this Porsche 356 ... seen in more shots, here
http://img330.imageshack.us/img330/5931/resizeofndvd010cm9ha2.th.jpg
http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/3092/resizeofndvd011bp6kd0.th.jpg

... and here
http://img330.imageshack.us/img330/4376/resizeofndvd012kq7tc9.th.jpg

- and for this Mercedes ...
http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3825/resizeofndvd022np1kg9.th.jpg

- and this Merc SL which we only see in these shots
http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/3037/resizeofndvd025ym8if0.th.jpg
http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/7023/resizeofndvd026pb0lr1.th.jpg

- VW Trasporters? Both of them get 2-stars
one ....
http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/4343/resizeofndvd021jd1ww2.th.jpg
and another ...
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/5518/resizeofndvd030lb4mj1.th.jpg
http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/6210/resizeofndvd017mg4gc3.th.jpg

- vehicle used only in this shot by a secondary character
http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/6093/resizeofndvd014bb5ca0.th.jpg

Three-stars

- Bruce Lee (main character) rides the bike in more occasions, I believe is a Triumph Bonneville. These are the only shots in which it does not blur and/or gets a full frame
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3897/resizeofndvd004rx6ck4.th.jpg
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/581/resizeofndvd005xx5ji9.th.jpg

There are some other shots, but they are very fuzzy and/or veeeery background. Plus I believe they 'recycle' some of the cars which seem to re-appear at intervals as background ... for me is all.
Hope I did right :banzai:
