I know it makes no sense but i still buy them ( but now limited to road vehicles only , concept and occasional race cars have to come from a real manufacturer , even if i let a few Matchbox designs slip away ) .

I'm running out of place , i know i should have stopped a long time ago but then i remember the 10-12 years hiatus when i did not brought back a single one and how i feel about the ones i missed during those times..

There should have been others, including an orange Opel Kadett coupé, but they were probably already gone when I visited Action (the dutch discount giant is THE place to get new Matchbox at good prices). However, that new batch included more of the slow selling Nissan Sentra, among others. But it could be worse. Some branches are stuck with these...

Are you sure they are Versa and not Sentra ? Or maybe they're offering both ?

I got the 3000GT in black , the Gladiator in some lime green metallic but missed the Polaris ( i saw it, mixed it with the RZR then when i went back it was gone ) . I also got that road roller but in yellow ( looks more like " official " construction vehicle.. ) i i just want the local Walmart to get rid of the green ones, there is way too much of them in the boxes, shelves..

Also got the Matchbox's version of the Mustang Mach-E , just looks so much better than its Hot Wheels counterpart ..

got the Kadett too but mine is yellow/white ( i have to check if i got the orange too ) and a Renault Megane ( i linked the offer instead of the pic to illustrate how liars internet sellers can be, there is a box at my local Walmart where i can pull out a bunch of these in less than two minutes so they're not that rare.. )

I've got the Gladiator in lime green, in red and now in black. Not a big seller over here, even in bright colors. I wonder why.

It's interesting that licensed side by side ATVs have become a theme at Matchbox. Polaris, Yamaha, Kawasaki... I'm warming to them.



We never got the 2022 batches with the yellow & white Kadett. I only found one in Germany. The orange one is new, from batches made in February. I don't know if you know the batch codes system at Mattel, but there's one printed on the base of each model, with a letter (year) and two numerals (week). Right now, the most recent batch we have is S07, the seventh week of 2023, so mid-February.

A few years ago they had Solido 1:43 models at Cora here at Anderlecht, but last time I went there were only 1:18 models.
Do you have a place where I could find it? Otherwise I guess I'll have to buy it online then. Also there, do you have a suggestion to limit the postage cost? I often bought at www.toms.nl, as they have a large choice, I could share the postage cost across several models when ordering.

Prices seem a little steep compared to the average "mint in box" prices from Bricklink for example.
But on the other hand, the advantage is that if you really want one of these brand new you can get it there without having to pay the postage cost by buying from Bricklink or another similar site.
The camper is nice (though that I maybe prefer 60057/60283 released later) and the truck with a boat is nice if you want a boat that floats

Cadillac Seville.. I never really liked that model but i was kind of happy ( and even more surprised ) that i found one..

I also got a 1982 Toyota Supra which, for a 2$ car , has a pretty good tail lights rendering

I just came back from the diecast store and as per usual, got more than my budget was initially ready for.. among them a 1931 Cadillac and my 1st ever Rootes one, a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine . I also saw an hearse, i might grab it tomorrow if it still there , its one of the few things that i don't have..

I also got from another store Marty McFly's Toyota . A little bit deceiving that its not an XtraCab , does have an exta light on top , no push bar with 2 square fogs on it ( and is a 1987 instead of 1985... oops.. ) but i guess its the closest i can find..

Got the hearse and of course i couldn't keep my hands in my pockets and grabbed a pair of Pontiac Grand Am , GTO as well as a pair of Mazda ( Miata , available in many colors / top & headlights down or up ) and a Cosmo ( thankfully budget-friendly.. )

And since my cat keeps inspecting whatever i bring back home, i bought a another feline to defend the whole pack..
