Pop.Up, or the return of the flying car? Unveiled by ItalDesign (part of Audi) and Airbus, Pop.Up is said to be functioning at the end of 2017 and on the road (and in the air, then) within 10 years.
If really functioning at the end of the year, we may expect some product placement in future SF movies. In which class should we have it?

Airbus, hmm? Looks like a new field for them.

Hey, what happened to the thread(s) where we correct info about movies and TV shows? Because I have bring up a correction about the remake of Death Wish."

Maybe not that new for this make? After all it flies, like a Beluga does, the only obvious difference being that it takes up less space than its elder

Unveiled 4 days ago as 2018 model, here is the Urus, Lamborghini's sibling of the Audi Q7 / Bentley Bentayga / Porsche Cayenne / Volkswagen Touareg (lack -for now?- the Bugatti, Škoda and Seat versions  ):

It looks almost like any Japanese / Korean SUV, for me. The LM002 stood out a bit more from its contemporary fellows, even if based on the Humvee design

Anyone see this yet?

If these are legit, you can bet they'll be in a movie or two.

Aw, crap! And I just told somebody about this who was driving a Camaro with something bursting out of the trunk.

It'd be cool if it was real, though.

Puzzling news from Chile, as Fiat's local van & pickup range is moving under the RAM brand.

The brazilian Strada will now be the Ram 700, as it already is in Mexico. The european Fiorino van, locally known as Fiorino City, will become the Ram Van 700, while the brazilian Fiorino van, also sold in Chile, will be known as the Ram Van 700 Rapid. Simple, isn't it ?

And it goes on. The Fiat Doblo becomes Ram 1000, the Fullback (né Mitsubishi L200 a year ago) becomes Ram 1200, and will join the Ram 1500 & 2500 american pickups. The article below doesn't say if the Fiat Ducato, also currently sold in Chile, will also become a Ram, however.

I sat in one at the Brussels Motor Show, a few days ago. The dashboard is purely Mercedes, at least.

Also notable was the - probably last - presence of ye olde G-Klasse.

2018 Lexus RX-L; 3-seat RX; arrives in December:

And for future reference (because I'm sure the question will come up when they start appearing on the site), here's a side-by-side of RX L (top) and RX (bottom):

Soon not to be, Ford automobiles in North America. In their Q1 financial reports, Ford has said that it only plans to move forward with the Mustang and the upcoming Focus Active in the automobile lineup, focusing all of their resources to crossovers and trucks, which are profitable. So it will discontinue the Fiesta, Focus, C-Max, Fusion and Taurus when their product run ends. Ford apparently loses money on each Fiesta, Focus and Fusion sold in North America.

Rumors with GM is they will drop the Chevy Spark, Sonic and Impala soon.

Say goodbye to sedans and hatchbacks everybody!!

Follow-up to my comment above, the final Focus sedans and C-Maxes for the US rolled off the assembly line in Michigan on Friday. The site will soon be producing the new (to the US anyway) Ranger and upcoming new Bronco. They are the first casualties in Ford's US plan.

Cadillac is killing off the ATS sedan at the end of the 2018 model year. It and the CTS are supposed to be replaced by the upcoming CT5. Cadillac plans to enter a smaller sedan called the CT4 later. The ATS Coupe will continue into 2019 for now.

And now for a new vehicle, UPS is testing out new electric vans in London and Paris.

UPS is working with a UK based firm called Arrival on the new vans. There will be 35 vans on trial.

They look quite cute, and more modern than the standard UPS van. But I don't know if they'll be as durable.
