Model Cars......who else collects them? Well, the Museum of Le Mans surely collects them as they have almost all cars that have ever raced there. That's about 4500 1:43's wall to wall

I had many of the Vanguards quattros when they came out, but didn't love them enough so sold most of them on. This page lists all the variations - scroll down to VA129. I think most are fairly easy to find without bursting your wallet - even the chromed one (edition size about 600) and the white LHD (another edition of about 600 from memory, less than the RHD). However the 2 red Ashes to Ashes can now cost squillions, although there's a fair number out there. They're slightly different as the solo Corgi is plain livery, but its twin in the set has bullet hole stickers from the series finale - sometimes lots, sometimes hardly any.

Yes I was aware of all these variations, but the one I've been fancing more than the others was the Panther black RR 20V as it matches my very favourite car. Obviously they didn't make big efforts to differentiate all the variations for obvious production costs so the model is not 100% accurate - they kept the same old front grille with the small Audi rings for every model when it should have been different at least in the 1987 Pearl white and the 20V.
I got the Ashes to Ashes 'single' model back when it was still fair though.

About those two Greenlights, they share the same design problem : the side windows are inserted from outside - which is standard procedure for collectible 1/43 models, for instance - but you can see the body metal through these windows ! Either the windows should have their edges and pillars painted in black, or the excess visible metal should be eliminated from the tooling.

I don't know , so far , all the Auto World i've bought had wheels that matched the real vehicle , not generic ones shared with multiple models

Last one , 1979 VW Rabbit . I was surprised that they used the name Rabbit instead of Golf and it was one of the reasons that made me buy it . There was also a GTI but i have already this one . I.ll check it again and may buy it if it says Rabbit too

It's the civilian version of the Rallye one, produced to achieve homologation as a "road car". 400 made in 1976 by Bertone. Normal 131 was named Mirafiori in US - and presumably CDN - after its production factory.
