I've started this thread so people can request that Antp change names/details on certain models (eg. like when we renamed all the Cadillac Coupe and Sedan DeVilles so that the name was spelled the same way) where there's too many for us to do easily one-by-one.
Firstly, antp can you give all the Rolls-Royce Phantoms without years a default year of 2003?
Also that's best thread title I can think of now, if anyone can think of a better one feel free to suggest it.

Whilst you're on the Phantoms would it be possible or worthwhile to add 1 to the mark field for all Phantom (which are not Phantom I, Phantom II etc)? the new facelift version is referred to as Series II by Rolls Royce.

Yes. It was tested in Auto Car last week or the week before, so probably available now for the 2013 MY.

Dodge vs. Dodge Brothers
I was going through the site when I realized it has not been at all consistent when it comes to naming the early Dodges. For example we have plain Dodge as far back as 1916, and Dodge Brothers as late as 1934.
Now this is another of the many grey areas in nomenclature. As we all know Dodge became a part of Chrysler on July 31, 1928, and the Dodge Brothers name continued in most advertising through the 1930 model year.

I've discussed about the Dodge/Dodge Brothers issue with nzcarnerd couple of times. Maybe he could his voice his opinion here..
Officially Chrysler changed the name from Dodge Brothers to Dodge in 1930. In my opinion we could use the Dodge Brothers name for all Dodges made between 1914-1929. I think using the name Dodge 'Brothers' is fair because the cars badge had initials 'DB' and also 'Dodge Brothers' written around it.

Not many Dodge Brothers that would have to be changed; but we do have 39 examples of 1914-1929 Dodges that would have to be renamed to Dodge Brothers.

So should we go forward with the Dodge/Dodge Brothers thing?

In the end there is only one pre-1930 listed as Dodge, so except for that one it is fine as currently, no?

According to this site there is no such thing as a 2003 Phantom: http://www.rrsilverspirit.com/models3/2004Phantom.htm with them all being VIN Coded as 2004 models in spite of being launched in early 2003. So the 2003s will need to be changed to 2004.

So now we know the later career of the saboteur who VIN-coded the Mustang - he got a job at Rolls Royce to carry on his evil work. If we accept his anarchy here as well, we only encourage the creation of more havoc elsewhere. We need to take a principled stand and resist VIN-Ultraism - especially at Rolls Royce with all that it stands for as a global paragon of excellence. Deny these destructive influences the oxygen of publicity before it's too late.

I'm not saying that it's right, just that it's what VIN numbers say. And if we do it for the Mustang, Toyota Camry and whatever we should do it for the bloated brutalist chunk from Goodwood too.

So he worked for Toyota as well? Any other sightings we can track down? Where is he about to pounce now? He needs to be caught (although if he started with the Mustang in the 60s, he's probably nearly 70 by now so should be identifiable - all we can hope is that he hasn't set up a cell of brain-washed disciples to spread his cause after his demise or capture).

It is funny how on Wikipedia they list the body style starting in 2003, but the first engine is from 2004. Were the early ones engineless?
